Re: Passenger Figures Update
When we consider what we had last year that we don't have this summer, these figures are not surprising.
From memory, this time last year we had:
Cork - Aer Arann, Dalaman - Pegasus, Dalaman - Onur Air, Bodrum -Onur Air, Malta - Malta Bargains MD83 flight, Saturday Spanair flights to Palma and Ibiza, Copenhagen, Hamburg, Madrid, Valencia, plus additional rotations to Edinburgh and Glasgow, Heathrow, Inverness and more flights from Jet2 on some of the more popular routes. Although we have gained additional routes with Jet2 this year (Dubrovnik, Jersey etc) I don't think overall they are doing much more this summer than they did last in terms of aircraft movements. Hopefully we may find that when we get past July, into the peak season, the return of Onur Air, plus additional TCX route to Reus, and of course Gatwick, might boost numbers a little - although countering that the business passengers always go down at that time of year.
If we can get down to around -10% beween July and September I think that would be a pretty postive result in the circumstances.
