As it happens I never book a seat next to the engine for that very reason. Strictly speaking the rear of the aircraft is the safest, or at least where you are most likely to servive an accident, but up front is the safest otherwise.

Dont wanna be sat behind the wing area, sounds like bits of engine could penetrate thru the fuselage! What on earth are boeing upto!
This is an interesting video by Maximus Aviation, looking into the factors behind Boeing's failures. These, allegedly range from the CEO pushing for more profitability, to the fact that Boeing HQ has moved location and so the management have far less face to face contact with the engineers.

Such as shame to see a once highly respected company and a pinnacle of flight safety, now having so many problems across it's product range.

Big changes in Senior Management at Boeing

It would seem that Boeing are not happy with the way that recent events have been handled. I wonder, if like most senior management, they were given the opportunity to 'step down', rather than being sacked?

Boing have resumed full production of aircraft at there Seattle site after a load of strikes 😎

Boeing is now at the centre of a wrongful death lawsuit, after the family of a former whistleblower alleges that years of internal harassment and retaliation led to his tragic suicide. The legal battle adds new weight to growing concerns about Boeing’s corporate culture, especially following recent safety controversies.

Did Boeing turn a blind eye to internal warnings, or does this lawsuit expose a deeper, systemic failure in how the company handles dissent?

Update on my last post on China halting deliveries of Boeing aircraft due to Tango Trump and his beautiful (his words) tariffs.

Air China: Had plans to receive 45 Boeing aircraft between 2025 and 2027.

China Eastern Airlines: Scheduled to take delivery of 53 Boeing planes in the same period.

China Southern Airlines: Anticipated 81 Boeing aircraft deliveries during these years.

Donghai Airlines: Operates an all-Boeing fleet and had orders for additional Boeing 737 MAX and 787-9 aircraft.

Juneyao Airlines: Reportedly delayed the delivery of a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner due to the escalating trade war

Looking on the brightside, the delivery of MAXs to Ryanair should now speed up considerably provided MOL doesn't pull the plug too. All thise aircraft orders cancelled will be available to other airlines.

I did say though last week that the tariffs, if implemented, would seriously damage an already wounded Boeing. A huge own goal by FantaMan.

At least Boeing will get to.sell their planes unimpeded in the US.

As a result of Ryanair’s over $40bn investment in Boeing aircraft, Ireland is Boeing’s biggest customer in Europe, supporting over 30,000 USA jobs.

It's astounding what is going on right now.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
