Wasn't Dublin only 2 weekly in January but 4 weekly in February?

Route numbers for March. I've created a comparison of previous months due to lack of realistic figures from 2021. I've only included the key main routes, but at the bottom includes total passenger numbers of all routes for that month. CAA stats 2022 Mar.jpg

Many thanks for that and its a very useful chart - I might copy the format, if that's okay with you, for the various airports that I produce reports on for F4A. Standardisation is always useful

Initial CAA data for April is now available:

Passengers - 54,334 which are 10,723.51% up on 2021.

More detailed analysis when available.
Thanks Scottie! Some quick analysis of the main routes. It's not easy to work out scheduled route LF's with 2 airlines on the route, but have done for Wizz to LCA, ACE and TFS and Ryanair to DUB being sole operators.

LCA - 8 return flights, Average pax load 92. LF 40%
ACE - 13 return flights, Average pax load 102. LF 44%
TFS - 13 return flights, Average pax load 171. LF 74%
DUB - 17 return flights, Average pax load 166, LF 89%

TFS appears to be doing very well. But at the same time I wouldn't read too much into the others just yet, April will always be a slow start without taking into account Wizz being new. Dublin is doing very well too!

Paris doesn't seem to be doing well at all sadly.
Going to Paris in a couple of weeks. EasyJet from Bristol sadly, ORY just that little bit less convenient. We've all done CDG many times in Flybe times so know exactly what trains to take, Orly seems a little bit closer but less well linked.

Idk which one is closer but I believe Flybe used to get a lot of people using it for Disneyland as well as onward connections with the likes of Air France.

A comparison of passenger numbers for all UK & Northern Ireland airports can be found here:

A more detailed analysis of your local airport will be produced when I have the time to compile the data.

Dublin is doing well, i think Paris is showing that it's more suitable for a E190 than an A321! Would've thought Tenerife and Lanzarote would be doing better along with Mallorca.

WIZZ don't seem to be doing well at the moment, I suppose it was still early days for them in May, let's hope things will improve.

Yes, as you say, early days... and I'd guess things should've improved somewhat in June and of course more so during the peak summer months.

My fear is that an A321 is too large for an initial base opening operation - it would be better suited to an A320 in my opinion, with a view to increase capacity in the years to come as the base grows...

But, lets be positive and grateful Wizz are at CWL 👌

The problem is can they offer the low prices needed to attract people with an A320, they went with an A321 for a reason. This is their first year so it'll be interesting to see what next summer will look like compared to this summer.

Looking back through the Vueling thread the first two full months (July & August 2012) operated on a 144 seat A319 -
July 2012
ALC average load 106 (74% LF)
PMI average load 92 (64% LF)

August 2012
ALC average load 125 (87% LF)
PMI average load 117 (81% LF)

The big differences here are the above passenger numbers are peak months of July and August but also at the same time the LF isn't really anything to go by though as there's 86 seats less in the A319 than an A321neo. Those LF's on an A321 would be below 50% for July and just over 50% for August.
When you look at Wizz all routes being over 90 in April and over 100 in May which are also quieter months, you could say things are actually very much on track. It was stated in a recent article that real performance won't be seen until year 2 or 3.
Vueling had a huge advertising campaign at the start and you could say eventually Wizz had a decent one too, but as we all know ALC, PMI and AGP are all proven routes at higher frequency. I imagine Wizz will have no problem with those routes (PMI, FAO and ALC), it's the other routes they will be watching closely.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
