Was anyone else present on this day -
After landing, reverse thrust was applied. On slowing, reverse thrust was de-selected and immediately there was a huge flash of flame around the engine (the photo was taken seconds after the incident). ATC notified the crew and the aircraft continued to the stand (stand 40 on the old international pier). Once parked, engineers pouring over manuals inspected the engine.
I don't know the decision, but the aircraft departed pretty much on time to an onward UK destination before retuning to BHX and departing for YYZ.
