It’s been like that for well over a month now, maybe even 6 weeks so it’s no glitch. EDI, DUB and BHD also have cuts some days too. BE obviously feel this period is loss making for them so would rather keep the planes on the ground. Cuts for Jan for BE are seen at other airports too

Berlin looks like it's suspended between the 7th January and 7th February, Munich from 8th January and 4th February, Milan 8th January and 4th February, Rome 13th January and 2nd February, Faro 7th January and 3rd February.

I knew Milan was suspended before but didn't know about the others. It is a big part of their route network at CWL and no doubt will have a big impact on the numbers for January as it's at least a dozen flights a week they've culled.

Sad situation that an airline would ground planes instead of flying Flybe's finance's are a worry for all airports they operate from.

Not really. Makes commercial sense to not be flying empty planes around. Probably a good time to get maintenance done too.

MUC and MXP should be picking up ski traffic in Jan. Businesses can't rely on a route (like MXP) that suddenly stops for a month - this is damaging to the airports reputation and it being seen as a serious international airport for business users.

Off the top of my head the base will be 3 aircraft but that theyll be parked for long periods.
I understand that January is the quietest month and that Flybe are being sensible but it's just concerning to me that 4 European city routes aren't sustainable during that month more so the 2 Italian routes.

A 3rd JER flight has been added for S19, on Saturdays with an away based dash8

Saturday
JER 15:15 - 16:10 CWL
CWL 16:55 - 17:50 JER

There is still a gap on Saturdays from when the MXP arrives at 17:30, potentially PMI which has been rumoured?

But i'm not sure if they would need a 3rd crew or not for that aircraft to operate PMI? And generally Flybe seem to operate only 2 crews a day on the aircraft.

I had a look at the Flybe utilisation for the based aircraft. Updated with info that Liam posted.

According to Flybe on social media Berlin will go onsale at the beginning of October but their social media team did tell someone else that it has been dropped. Will be interesting to see which is true!

Checked in now with Flybe ready for my trip to Edinburgh on Thursday! Quick and easy check in online with them!
Are you going into the city when you reach EDI or remaining at the airport?

Heads Up!

For some weird reason, my days off work tend to involve being out of my flat by 5am and not getting back until 10pm. Back to work and the regular "fix" of 7.40am to 7.15pm hours
Heatwave Mk2 next week?
Some explosive weather build-ups currently in the North of England. What is it like where you are?

I don't believe I am quite covering enough roles at work. Its now 4 on a bad day, 5 on a good day and there is scope for a 6th and 7th role. Still on minimum pay but had the biggest payrise in the company,
