I am unable to locate the correct thread thus my apologies if this be the incorrect location to ventilate my ire this evening,

I have this day spent most valuable time trying to set up 2 devices running Microsoft Win.10.

Since my Windows 7 device died I have been using Android for the simplicity it offers me with my medical condition. However a Netbook was donated me and I purchased a LENOVO ThinkPad, both running Microsoft. The Lenovo was ex MOD thus a little more than average.

Just how dammed complicated can it be to just set it up when one has significant problems of a medical nature? I have increasing difficulties with touch screens hence returning to keyboard devices. Yet my memory is not as it was and I have forgotten my I.T. training when studying for my Law qualies etc.

I now need significant promting to do the basics. We now live. on a world of passwords and over zealous security and I am adrift. I cannot even use a plastic card in a shop because of needing to know my PIN number, thus everything is now done online as Android kindly stores my life....yes, sad but such is life.

Seasonal greetings to you all.

Anyone live in Pleck area of Walsall I live in Darlaston and have had a Police helicopter flying over my house and the area circling told there is an incident in Pleck according to my news feed on my phone.
You see Darlo, when you dance in just your boxers in the garden to see off the winter solstice the police take a great deal of interest. Although they did not get me as I did the same in Southend High Street....then again I suppose it is such a common event there on a Friday evening they turn a blind eye.

Happy first day after the solstice day. Summer is coming. For those like me who suffer a bit from SAD the day after the shortest day is a happy one. A signal that the year is changing and getting brighter.

Hopefully in the incident in Pleck resulted in noone getting hurt.

Happy new year all I hope that everyone has a lovely evening.

Whatever you are up to please stay safe :)

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!
If anyone would like to share their local airport news right here in our news area let me know so I can give you the correct permissions to do so. It only takes a couple of minutes to upload a news story with an accompanying image. The news items can then be shared on the site homepage by you. #TakePart #Forums4airports Bring the news to one place!
survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
