According to PIA’s website, flights are bookable from BHX to Islamabad from the 2nd November x2 weekly... Does anyone know anything more?

Yes, it's down to removal from red list last week.

However, there's no mention of ban imposed because of "poor safety culture".

Update: Some Pakistani media saying flights will be operated by a charter company.

The winter flights for the U.K. are currently showing as operating on PIA equipment, to which I have it on good authority PIA aircraft are highly, highly unlikely to be allowed into European and U.K. airspace this side of 2022.

so I’d take any schedules after Nov 1st with a rather large pinch of salt.

Currently the plan for U.K. ops into Oct is MAN/LHR-ISB, 1 weekly each with a Jordan Aviation A330. Nov/Dec likely to be similar with higher frequency on busier periods.

PIA has arranged 32 flights to UK until end of October.Chartered Jordan Aviation Airbus A330-200 aircraft will transport PIA passengers from Pakistan to UK.
Most likely it be just Manchester and Heathrow .

Technically, that should read 'EU and UK airspace'. 'Europe' is a geographical area (continent) consisting of far more countries than are members of the EU. The EU and Europe are two totally different things. I guess that if PIA wished to fly to Switzerland (a non EU country) it would have problems as Switzerland is landlocked (airlocked?) by EU member states.

Not on a PIA aircraft !

So why did you not say that and make a point of informing the forum however that the service will restart, abeit on different metal.

I don't think most on here care much if it is on PIA metal, we care more that BHX could of lost this vital route and that should of been explained better. We are all aware that PIA are banned from the UK so this is not a surprise to us.

Agreed and just because it’s not a PIA aircraft doesn’t mean it’s not being operated by them. The flights are but using another carrier on behalf of them whilst they’re still banned.

Heads Up!

For some weird reason, my days off work tend to involve being out of my flat by 5am and not getting back until 10pm. Back to work and the regular "fix" of 7.40am to 7.15pm hours

I don't believe I am quite covering enough roles at work. Its now 4 on a bad day, 5 on a good day and there is scope for a 6th and 7th role. Still on minimum pay but had the biggest payrise in the company,
