that was TOM6336 Exeter to Ibiza, due to have left at 06:30, passengers were bussed to BRS
Apparently an Avion Express operating IBZ-LGW will divert to Cardiff to operate the IBZ flight. Smartlynx will operate the Zante flight and a TUI from Manchester will divert in to operate the Dalaman flight.

TUI holidaymakers delayed more than 40 hours at Cardiff Airport in chaotic scenes

Hundreds of frustrated passengers have been left stranded at the airport and been put up in hotels for two nights

Why what's happened? Isn't operating Rhodes this evening?
Nope, it didn’t go. Far from an isolated issue though. For example, on Saturday afternoon, it looks like two of the BRS flights didn’t operate and the ones that did all left with 4+ hour delays. I also know one of the GLA afternoon flights didn’t go. These are sadly a drop in the ocean amongst all of the delays and outright cancellation/refunds from TUI recently.

TUI has released Winter 2023/24 for Cardiff.
Lanzarote 2 weekly Thursday and Sunday
Malaga 1 weekly Sunday
Alicante 2 weekly Tuesday and Saturday
Gran Canaria 1 weekly Saturday
Tenerife 3 weekly Monday, Tuesday and Friday
Paphos 1 weekly Wednesday (starts in 28/2/24 and operates in March and April)
Palma de Mallorca 1 weekly Tuesday (operates in April 2024 only with a non based aircraft)
Barbados has 3 departures 7/1/24, 10/3/24 and 20/3/24
In summary there'll be 1 based aircraft, 9 weekly departures going to up in March 2024 to 10 and 11 in April.

It's a shame that TUI couldn't offer Fuerteventura as part of the winter schedule. CWL would be able to offer all 4 islands in the Canary islands then.

Good opportunity for WIZZ, it operated for many years with Thomas Cook, the new online TC could buy seats on the service , as well as other online travel agents e.g. On the Beach, who are advertising several destinations from CWL.

It looks like a Wamos A330 300 will be operating Tenerife for TUI today.
Seems the outbound TFS diverted to MAD yesterday and then swapped onto EC-NTX for the onward and return journey

As a result, this Wamos A330 has operated both the IBZ and LPA at CWL today

Not sure how long it's likely to hang around but assuming there's tech issues within the TUI (Sunwing) fleet

TUI are using 737 of ETF Airways of Croatia today, it was also used yesterday, they are certainly using a variety of airlines this summer.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
