They have probably found that they are not getting the passengers on the routes that are in competition with other airlines.

They seem to be inept. The less LBA has to do with FlyBe the better. And all the more reason to jump on LBA,- NQY as no competition - it ain't rocket science or is that me being too naive? Sure they could route BHD-LBA-NQY-LBA-BHD once a day and then they dont even have to give up BHD
Looking at FR24 there's only one flight a day NCL-LHR and thats mid afternoon so I am surprised its so popular.A couple of interesting snippets from t’other forum:
Flybe were apparently 3 aircraft down yesterday. Not great when this basically represents half your current fleet. All the cancellations must be well and truly draining customer confidence.
Also reported that BHD-NCL loads are poor but NCL-LHR regularly getting up to 50. Of course LHR/LON that bit further from NCL than it is LBA so that will help but it does make me wonder if they have lost out in a big way to EI on their BHD routes where they overlap, however good they may have been for Mk1. Going to be an interesting winter ahead for BE I would suggest
With BA operating the route as well, passengers will have the flexibility to mix and match operators.Looking at FR24 there's only one flight a day NCL-LHR and thats mid afternoon so I am surprised its so popular.
FR24 also indicates that yesterday's and today's LHR and BHD are cancelled.
Still no interline agreements though, so presumably these are all point to point travellers. With BA operating the route as well, passengers will have the flexibility to mix and match operators.
This flexibility will support increased demand - e.g fly out with BA but the FlyBe may be a better connection on the return or vice versa.
At LBA there was the limitation to using only FlyBe - so if the timing didn’t work for one of the legs then the only other option is to go with an alternate route
And you’d be brave to book with FlyBe on the outbound right now if you were connecting!Still no interline agreements though, so presumably these are all point to point travellers.
I can't see them lasting so the less LBA are exposed when they eventually go the better.I'm surprised that anyone would really want to use the Flybe LHR-NCL route due to it only been 1x daily and again it lacks any interlining / codeshare connections agreements especially when it's up against a 5x daily British Airways service.
I'll say it again, Flybe at LHR is just a slot sitting exercise. For LBA-LHR to work it needs British Airways.
Regards Flybe I have read they are still fully committed to LBA., But as we know they've got some serious competition on the BHD route directly with Aer Lingus & EasyJet to BFS
If Flybe are really commited surely some new links must be on cards once the fleet is fully operational. Eg Newquay & Southampton?
Exactly so 50 point to point pax a flight seems very high. And you’d be brave to book with FlyBe on the outbound right now if you were connecting!
I think they’ve already blown all their chances at survival. Route and frequency cuts, cancellations and heavy competition on nearly if not all their routes is a recipe for disaster.Another Cancellation on today's only Belfast City - Leeds BE731/732 rotation.
Realistic How long can this carry on, they must be losing punters to Aer Lingus & easyJet.
Ps; the new routes from Newcastle to Belfast & Heathrow routes seem to be struggling too with low pax numbers and cancellations.
