Does 15 have more noise issues then than 33. I know 15 has a flight path over my house Which I don't mind not sure if the people of Walsall and so on mind but it ay exactly loud and frequent like LHR

Runway 33 is the proffered runway when landing for noise abatement reasons.If the wind is from the other direction its 15.
In calm winds its 33 again for noise reasons, although pilots can state a reason to ATC is they want to land on 15.

we could do with a few more Madrid flights, only have 3 a week with Ryanair at present. Not aware of any return of Iberia Express in the pipeline.

From what I know very little chance of a return.

Before anyone gets excited, its nothing imminent, but picked up from a post on the MAN forums.

Air Serbia sees potential for more new routes

Air Serbia says it is looking at new European routes with longer flying time.

But that could be said for any airline, Saudia, Aegean, Qatar returning to BHX.

I would expect Iberia to return when the time is right, BHX is an obvious destination for them.

And lets not forget they have returned to BHX before after operating the mad dogs (DC.9/MD80 into BHX back in the late 90s, lol

They operated to both Madrid and Barcelona and then returned a few years ago.

I see your point, but iberias main focus is demand. In some way they need a reason to return. Eventually i think they will, as Air Serbia has interest in Birmingham. But as of now, it's unlikely.

Very little of chance on a Iberia return, Vueling have covered Barcelona along with Ryanair, Iberia dont fly to Barcelona from the UK.
I agree Madrid could do with extra capacity but I dont expect to be Iberia anytime soon.

I could see Vueling adding Madrid to Birmingham later down the line or Ryanair adding extra flights.

Literally no chance of Vueling offering Madrid as they don’t base there!

Even if EasyJet hosted the route 5 weekly and Ryanair daily then all matters would be resolved.Vueling would never ever be a suited route for bhx -Mad

Easyjet have stubbornly refused for a number of years.
They claim BHX doesn't meet their operational requirements to open a base .On 2 e mails they have replied to me.
Whether that means they can't get a cheap enough deal out of BHX I don't know.
