You're quite right @mullion. Whilst I understand, from a few sources, that Jet2 are interested in acquiring the lease I also understand that there is a lot of work to be done within the hangar. This is both as a result of the speedy way in which Air Livery vacated the building and the way that THG gutted any aviation based environment.
As I said at the beginning this is just what I understand and not from personal knowledge.

Has there been an update on Sentra Airways and their flights to Ghana recently? Last news I can find is the supposed arrival of the aircraft at Cotswold Airport back in January, prior to registration as G-SAHA.

Hi LBAYORKIE!!

I was down at Kemble on Wednesday for my visit and tour of former BA B747-400 G-CIVB which was very enjoyable nice to know it's well looked after.

RE the Sentra A330-200 yes indeed it is parked up next to two other B747-400s. They all have the engines etc all taped and covered up presume for future intended use. It is G-SAHA and all white.

I have no knowledge of status of the airline itself.

Hope this helps.

Regards Bilko.

1st time travelling from Manchester Airport today, heading to Amsterdam with Easyjet from Terminal 1. 1st impressions is it's not too bad. Very busy security and terminal but doesn't feel over crowded and I've managed to get a good apron view to watch the planes!

yes this is just turning the biometrics back on in T1 & T3 for doemstic/CTA flights. They were turned off in March 2020 as the airside connection points were closed, and have remained off until the last few weeks. If you were arriving from an international flights (not including CTA) then you had to go through immigration, landside, and back through security to connect. I can only assume the airside connection points are now open again so there is a need for the biometrics to be turned back on.

What has happened to the proposed Sentra Airways? I see that their A330 has been repurposed and is onward to HiSky Europe. Take it we won't be seeing them at MAN anytime soon

I think we can, pretty safely, say that they are a "dead duck". It seems that a number of proposed airlines have failed to get passed the starting blocks.

Ps - apologies to any ducks reading this post:cry:

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
