What’s expected for 2025 in my eyes
Ryanair expansion
Easyjet expansion
Wizz air expansion
International expansion
More cargo flights
Well BHX is currently joint 21st largest airport by destinations for Ryanair and for easyjet we are currently 19th with both expanding we will only climb higher. I’m hoping there’s an Ryanair announcement this Thursday because the ceo, route management and chief pilot are all in town if no announcement the crew should be able to know more.

How was the routes online 2024 Bahrain mate?
Anything of interest

I can’t say too much at the moment because it’s with management, but we done the figures for Summer and now moving onto Winter. In the coming days we will have a meeting about what was discussed this week but then after that I’m on holiday for 2 weeks.

Ascend are only offer 6 months winter contract for Asia flights from both Manchester and Birmingham then aircraft return back to LGW for summer and crew are released for summer

The EASA compliance review takes place next month. No high hopes on either side but if PIA are successful, their next problem is a lack of aircraft - 4 777-200s plus one 777-300 currently operational and fully committed. Airline has no money for subleasing wide body aircraft. Could they get twice weekly CDG going? We will have to see but more than that, for now, seems implausible.

Got a question for you BHX492 and Ian.
Obviously next year it’s rumoured to be a big year for Birmingham.
What can we expect and is it exciting news?

Feel free to inbox me at your discretion

I wouldn't get too excited Ant, can't see any major new airlines, only increases from Ryanair, Jet2, & hopefully Easyjet, and decreases from TUI.

As Matt995 said TUI will be decreasing but will be using more Easyjet seats for holidays, Easyjet should be 5 A320-186RF and as mentioned on the Liverpool Easyjet thread an back up aircraft will be based at LPL instead of the current Manchester this summer, Ryanair is still down as 6 737-800 and 3 737-8200 with 5 rumoured routes which I’ll see if I can found out more tomorrow.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
