Any route news next month we should look out for bhx?
We definitely won’t see any Middle East announcements.
Ryanair well definitely be making an announcement soon, They already moved flights around and Ryanair CEO Eddie Wilson is rumoured to be in BHX within the next 2 weeks but this could be for the roadshow on 10th October. Nothing currently planned for Easyjet then I’m not sure about the other airlines.

What are the chances of Delta? My mate is a massive BCFC fan and he thinks the plan to build a new stadium will coincide with NFL games in Birmingham. And Delta might be part of this plan...

0% chance of Delta
Correct! BHX team is going to Bahrain to arrange agreements / deals with other Airports and airlines, expect new routes from TUI, easyJet’s holiday subsidiary new destinations and possible a hint at American routes

I can't see what aircraft Delta would use, they haven't got A321LR on order which surely would be the most obvious choice for any carrier to use?

The Delta Arena @ Knighthead Park. I like the sound of that :)

The deal with BCFC is only for this season which is already a month underway. Hopefully there are things happening in the background to extend the partnership which may add weight to something involving BHX further down the line.

It's probably also worth noting that Tom Brady (who has a stake in BCFC) is also involved with Delta in some capacity.

Interesting one to watch.

So guys I couldn’t do a poll because I have to an admin or something like or so.
Anyway .So far we are hearing speculation of new airlines for bhx next summer.
I’ll give the options that have been rumoured and you gotta pick 2 you would like to see at bhx next summer bit of fun.

  1. Hainan Airlines
  2. Cathay Pacific
  3. Etihad airways
  4. Pakistan international airlines
  5. Skyexpress
  6. Turkmenistan
  7. Delta airlines

Hi there Mackadown spotter, I like your optimism show, but non of them unfortunately, pia have come and gone, any outside chances would be Turkmenistan or sky Express. Anything more and that would be a miracle.

Out of those seven the only one I would see as a future airline at BHX is Cathay (maybe SkyExpress and Hainan)
Like ur prediction Ian .Certainly skyexpress would like to enter the British market.

Cathay I can 90% see it .However their is concern over time slot

Hainan hope they come as it would be great for Chinese relations

I think Etihad are a target but you're likely talking about the medium term.

I'm not convinced we need them at the moment. I'd much rather see double daily Qatar, growth from Saudia, more capacity from Emirates and a new destination from Air India.

Long haul wise I'd like to see NY, Toronto, either Hong Kong or mainland China and a return of Phuket. I don't think any of those are totally unrealistic for the next 5 years or so.

So are we expecting announcements or changes this week to airlines schedules for summer 2025?
Any information on new services / carriers will be released at the appropriate time. Anyone who knows what is happening will keep quiet until the information is released (mainly so they can keep their job). Be patient and you will find out at the same time as everyone else.

according to some people, you only need 1 day in each of the Yorkshire Dales, North Wales and Lake District "to have seen it all". Which is why its minibus tour number 3 this year of the Yorkshire Dales for me on 16th October. Different routes and different things to see each tour.
Apologies for any issues today, I was planning on updating the site but sadly something went wrong so the upgrade has been postponed. Apologies again for any inconvenience caused.

Thank you for your kind donation to our running costs Jenny.
I've done 2 minibus tours with Mountain Goat this week. Monday was North York Moors with over 600 photos and today High Adventure in the Lakes with 750. photos. Slightly snap happy.
I've asked Gareth Southgate for the winning lottery numbers. He said 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6
