Really foggy here in Cookridge this morning so probably the same at LBA.

Everything is diverting, even 2 x Wizz, who are normally good in low viz.

Presumably the into wind runways RVR is even worse.

According to FR24 one of the Wizz's aircraft is positioning in from Liverpool at 09:16.

With a 10 knot wind right down the runway, landing on 32 wouldn’t be an option for autoland.

And rvr for 14 is 225, with 550 needed.

No sign of the Wizz from LPL, not surprising these flights normally operate back empty.

I really hope the weather at the end of this year isnt as disastrous as it was at the beginning.

from memory this will be the first WIZZ weather diverts way since the summer schedules started in late march

The whole area is foggy not just the airport. Just been to Moortown and it's the same . With the current visibility so low generally and the tailwind on 32 nothing is getting in. Just one of those days with the South Easterly, warm moisture laden wind that brings us very low cloud. I think it's supposed to shift North later, but there again, yesterday was forecast to be dry!

The is a heavy band of raining moving in from the West over the next few hours which should see the fog/low visibility start to lift.

Bit of a pointless exercise by the jet2 b737 thats just currently flown over from MAN, did they not contact LBA tower for weather conditions before they set off as he is now circling as well!

A Ryanair did get in a short time ago though. Apart from this it seems to have been a total wipeout this morning. Lets hope the weather improves in time for all this mornings returning departures.

I've pre warned my folks that they may be diverted, so possibly a little trip to LPL or MAN me thinks

He's just made an approach, nearly a 10 knot tail wind at 110' and landed

Update, landed but runway32, change of wind direction or prob due to been a lite load?

It would be more true to say they do/did get fog but nowhere near as often as Leeds.

Weather not quite clearing quickly enough. Some flights getting in but a few still diverting

I can however see for a few more yards now where I am just outside Bingley so let's hope significant clearance is now coming
