It’s a last minute upgrade for Heathrow passengers. So is this A380 A test to see if they can fill it or is it for Heathrow delays
They would have been selling it as a 777 on the website for people booking from Birmingham

Sorry?Don’t know if Heathrow have bhx A380 night slot?
Just sayingSorry?
Also, as its 3 class is it bringing some of the higher paying first class / platinum passengers back to the UK that would have ordinarily gone to Heathrow?
Just saying what sorry, I'm a little confused.Just saying
Believe heathrow has bhx 3rd daily slot basicallyJust saying what sorry, I'm a little confused.
Heathrow has 6 flights a day, what do you mean Heathrow has BHX's night slot?
Ohhhhh I see.Believe heathrow has bhx 3rd daily slot basically
No. The third slot was cancelled some years ago. Slots usually depend on airports rather than airlines. It does not continue to exist in the ether. And it was a morning departure, if I remember correctly.Believe heathrow has bhx 3rd daily slot basically
Recently as numbers on ek have droppedI think that is totally irrelevant because the extra seats available would have gone to LHR pax to clear the backlog
As a general thing the lunchtime flight has more connections than the evening or morning flightsWould be interesting to know what aircraft is selling out better on EK A380 or B77W
The lunchtime flight is full during summer times, sometimes spring and autumn too. Pretty expected for pax count to drop in winter. Evening service isn’t as popular, 37 is good for returning connections but that about it. It’s the reason why emirates refused to make it a A380 service againAs a general thing the lunchtime flight has more connections than the evening or morning flights
Strangely, I would prefer the evening departure as it means a 10:30 ish AM departure from DXB. The terminal always seems more welcoming during the day.The lunchtime flight is full during summer times, sometimes spring and autumn too. Pretty expected for pax count to drop in winter.
