I advise you to search for images on google, there are photo’s there taken from social media such as facebook and instagram.

The taxiway echo is well advanced now and most likely awaiting the opening of pier 2 which will allow the remote stands opposite the cargo sheds to be removed therefore allowing the use of the new dual taxiway system.
Swissport and the likes are due to move out of the cargo sheds during the summer, but as pier 2 doesn’t open until September, don’t expect the new system to be in use until then at the earliest.

Does new echo dual track back to runway 1? Certainly when you look on Google Earth, yoy can see a pathway. Noted its blocked off with red and white barriers when viewed from RVP

Trumpington - if you look at the attached screenshot - from the Nats website (free to download) you will see that the new taxiway will run north from its junction with Taxiway B to where it meets Taxiway E.

I hope you find this of use.

Thanks Scottie. I wonder why marked disused, when it's under construction?

Last Saturday (14th June) I flew back from Kos and as I was travelling on business the next day, I stayed over at the Ibis next to T2. As I had some time on my hands during my stay, I decided to have a walk around T2 check in and arrivals. I noticed all but Zone A of the legacy T2 is now fully open. A new WHSmith behind check in zone D area, which is very welcome. In the arrivals legacy area coming down the escalators, you can see a new sign "UK ARRIVALS", the old floor tilling is still in use within this area, so like the legacy check in area, I assume the new tilling isn't going to be installed here either!
Question: is there also going to be a new international arrivals area or is the legacy arrivals for the UK / domestic only?
Lastly for T2, I had a quick visit to the MSCP for a look at Pier 2, I could see around 4 airbridge's now installed and majority of the slabs for the apron areas were complete, so hopefully that September new target date is kept for the opening...!

My observation overall of the TP is that things seemed to have slowed down compared to earlier this year, for whatever reason(s) that may be, but to someone who travels through MAN at least twice a month since 2021, it really feels like a snails pace now...
Last info from the contributor's on the various forums was that pier 2 would open in September with airlines moving over between then and November, when Emirates would be the last airline to transfer over once their new lounge is complete.
T2 legacy would open in phases between July and September.

When I was flying out on business on last Sunday from Terminal 3, I noticed stand 47 was now in use with a Ryanair 737-MAX so that's a new stand for Ryanair at T3. There also was confirmation on this forum a few months ago from @CCGE29 ref the reconfiguration of stands 16 & 17 for use of Ryanair, so hopefully this will happen soon to enable another stand (16) to be used, as stand 17 is currently used overnight. And once BA & Loganair move over to T2, stands 42 & 43 can be used by Ryanair too. After this I count 16 stands in T3 for Ryanair, along with 6 stands on the east side of Pier B (T1) which I believe Ryanair will continue to use overnight, so these stands will be used for last arrivals and first wave departures via bussing passengers to and from T3.

Morning, I believe most resources have been diverted upstairs to get the first phase of airside retail completed as soon as possible - 2 phases, 1st phase due Jun/Jul .Also, I believe there is another arrivals door which will be next to where the works wall is. A new information desk and Taxi desk will also be in the new area. Check in area A is for Emirates and there is also a new Security entrance - Security East next to Virgin check ins

Thanks for the info.
Be interesting to see which zone EasyJet are allocated as they have various departure waves which would mean they need to be allocated the same zone each day.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
