NEW ROUTE

Jet2 - Bristol to Jersey. Summer seasonal flights start 14 May 2027

BRS 1205-1305 JER (Mon & Fri)

JER 1350-1450 BRS (Mon & Fri)
Presumably this will fit in as a 3rd rotation on one aircraft in the middle of the day although I can’t see any obvious gaps rather than signalling a 9th based and more increases to come?

Edit: didn’t look hard enough. Reus Mon & Fri AM next year so fits in after that.

I was always under the impression that Egypt would grow. All be it cautiously it's growing but none the less one new route.

Wonder if it'll be a weekly flight or 2 weekly.

Starting wonder if the Bristol Hurghada was a mistake on website announcement don’t Jet2 usually load a route by now after they announce them. Been over 2 weeks since they announced the route. I know it’s not until next winter but rest seem to be loaded and they have added Bristol Bergerac since.

I don’t think they have ever announced it have they though if you read the media report on the Bristol airport website when they announced Bergerac there was mention of more to follow

Ah I see it now. Yes it certainly is mentioned but I guess we have to wait and see. Personally I think more than that is coming maybe other new routes or increased frequencies on others - for example jet2 has no flights to either italy( other than Verona) and Croatia .

Is that possible without basing a 9th aircraft in summer ?

Not all of the eight aircraft based are fully utilised particularly during the week but I wonder whether a A321 may make an appearance ? ( pure speculation tho)

Ah okay I thought the 8 based were near fully utilised in summer. Would be great if we did get a 321 Neo though be our fourth at Bristol,

Wouldnt that add complications to crew type ratings? I would imagine there are no Airbus rated pilots at BRS.

True but eventually they will have to get jet2 Airbus pilots it’s a matter of when not if as they are planning to replace the 737 eventually completely

I

8 are used everyday apart from Tuesdays when it’s 7.
Ah thank you for the information

Heads Up!

For some weird reason, my days off work tend to involve being out of my flat by 5am and not getting back until 10pm. Back to work and the regular "fix" of 7.40am to 7.15pm hours
Heatwave Mk2 next week?
Some explosive weather build-ups currently in the North of England. What is it like where you are?
LBA: B737-300 G-GDFK empty down to Paris at 16:15 to operate the return LS268 back to Leeds 20:00 ETA where it will then operate the delayed LS265 to Malaga 20:40ETD
LBA: Albastar B737-800 EC-MUB positioning in tommorow afternoon from Gatwick 15:45 to operate a charter to Lourdes/Tarbes on Friday afternoon 14:00 AP7721 STC
I don't believe I am quite covering enough roles at work. Its now 4 on a bad day, 5 on a good day and there is scope for a 6th and 7th role. Still on minimum pay but had the biggest payrise in the company,
