Those that hate having to travel to MAN airport, those that always say "we hate having to travel from Manchester esp when there is an airport so close" there the ones to target.I have just secured another couple of support letters this morning and 4 or 5 commitments to do so. Please keep pestering anyone you know who uses or supports LBA. So many who support it tend to assume it will just happen. We need to make it difficult for Leeds Council to consider anything other than approval.
Incidentally, LCC will probably expect more opposition than support as that is the norm with airports, so lets do all we can to surprise them!

Around September I believe.I may have missed this, so apologies if I have done. Does anyone know what sort of timescale we can expect in terms of a decision being made?
Same development but ideally you need to do another via the Leeds.Gov planning portal. The comments you did before were the Public Consultation. We have now moved on to the actual Planning Application so your comments are to the Council rather than to LBA. The reference no. is 20/02559/FU but you will need to register first and open an account. You will see the register option when you go into the Planning Applications portal. Hope that helps?I did a support letter a couple of months ago after the public consultations. Is this the same issue or do I need to send another?

I’m on it today, I’ll try talk my parents through it and pass it on to my brothers one of whom works for alongside me at Jet2.
I have a question, do I try drum up support by adding a post with links onto my local fb community groups In Farsley and Rodley. I don’t want to inadvertently raise awareness to more NIMBYs so it’s a gamble!

They are sadly the same uneducated people that think, living in no where near the Airport or Airport Traffic (e.g. Central/East Leeds) and objecting to the airport "because it causes more traffic". When in actual fact it is the constant underfunding of infrastructure since the 1980's that has caused traffic to rise, the persistence to continue building new houses in these areas that adds more traffic, and the constant LCC bottleneck of roadworks.
I wouldn’t bother locally. As I pointed out earlier in this thread:
Rodley/Farsley has had plenty full of roadworks and altering of junctions over the last few years, traffic has substantially increased due to the new housing development in what once was the industrial park, named "Horsforth vale" . Any excuse to contest against the airport development based on local issues will be used, in my opinion.

You must be on the northern edge of Otley if you come under Harrogate, but its your airport too. This decision isn't just about Leeds residents. It is the airport for the entire region and Leeds City Council have a responsibility to all the region's residents with regard to the airport.Great, I got timed out amazing how time flies! In any case although I live in Otley we are officially part of Harrogate so Im not sure how much notice they will take of me.
I agree, just wanted a second opinion. As nice as Horsforth Vale is, it should never have been built without serious upgrades to the ring road between Dawson’s corner and Horsforth new road side. Including the Infamous two roundabouts.
