Looking at the picture there, the "old ball stands" (named that's as local passengers get off sometimes and go "bloody hell parked in Old Ball") have been moved further along the taxiway - parallel to the current stands.

Would also appear there is a few stands where the old terminal used to be.

Now I do wonder what will happen to - Cargo operations, Alpha building, the security house/offices and let's not forget the head office of Jet2.

Do we have any detailed airfield layout information post transformation showing stands etc?

This isn't necessarily a finalised layout but it gives you an idea. Only the shaded grey areas are actually new stands which replace the stands where the replacement terminal building will go.

The Wharfedales article on the Councils Statement. One of the first I have seen that doesn't undermine good news with a negative comment within the headline.

Is that the one I saw which said the planning was needed for a new terminal and 7 million FLIGHTS a year !
They could do with a new article proof reader in the team.

All the articles written by Richard Beecham are garbage. That bloke has an agenda that mirrors the GALBA agenda. I feel for the people who take the Wharfedale Observer having to put up with that c..p on a regular basis. However the article LBAYORKIE makes reference to is by Annette McIntyre who sounds like a proper reporter in comparison to Beecham. I might be wrong, as a one time reader, but that is the way it sounds to me.

The airports CEO Vincent Hodder has posted this message on his Linkedin account on Thursday night just after the decision by LCC was made to accept planning approval.

How many stands in total? (Unable to determine)
There are 24 stands on that plan, but I am fairly sure that the plan is to extend those two new stands in the middle towards the West as and when required. There is space to add several more. In the plan the large aircraft in front of the terminal appears to be using up two stands, each of which can be recognised by the Centreline.

I too count 24 which is only an additional 2 from current count. Seems quite a modest increase.
I am sure that if the demand is there, the number will be increased. If for example, a certain airline currently not seen here sign up to base 2 A320s, and we still have 2 based Ryanair and perhaps 18 Jet2, the KLM, and an Eastern, they still all have a bed for the night with 24 stands. Any growth beyond that should prompt an extension to the central stands shown on the plan.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.

Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
