I've remember as a child departing from that point on a Britannia 737-200. It felt like we were being thrown into the back of our seats. (probably because we were!)

Interesting video. I'd forgotten how short the runway appears to be. No sooner are you out of the touchdown zone then you're into the start of the red/white centre line lights warning of the last xxxmts.

im fairly sure he touches down quite late , after we hear the 10m height the aircraft flairs a fair bit of time and then the front wheel only hits the tarmac just before the old runway intersection, usually its way way earlier

I've finally got round to digitizing my old camcorder footage from the 90's, which has some very
rare and interesting visitors, from Euro 96 to Leeds United football charters and more...
Fingers crossed that it all comes out ok, and hopefully I'll be able to post on here asap.
Included should be Corsair and Air Atlanta 747's which are particularly spectacular!

Thats why runway 14 has to make do with Cat1 ILS. The Chevin requires a 3.5 degree glideslope on 14.
