Please i was wondering about the cam too, do you think it will come back on, i miss it Aviator.

I think that was a discussion on another thread. To be honest, it never worked for me so you can't miss something you've never seen.

I sent an email to Multiflight and contacted on social media asking about the webcam, but received no answer, hope it will return.

I think I know the person responsible for maintaining the website. I'll make enquiries and get back to you in due course unless somebody else reports back first.

Avaidor: Thanks for the update, thats sad news as far as I am concerned, used to view it most days. Can get up to the airport as musch in my old age, was a good substitute.

I am thinking of putting a camera on my roof with a view from the side of runway 14 threshold towards the centre of the airfield. It depends on the cost of the camera and installation plus what it would cost me to stream it to the internet. It may have a small cost to use it to cover my expenses so I will do the sums and let you all know the results.

If the web cam used an operating system that enabled easy viewing on such as android and iPad tablets, I would happily contribute towards the cost of installation and upkeep of the system.

The costs involved will be fairly substantial. So far as people saying they will contribute to the running costs, I would recommend asking people to put their money where their mouth is as they will likely scarper at the point they're asked for a contribution.

All said there could still be a way of getting a new webcam if people were to approach private firms who have property overlooking the airport they might be prepared to install a system that draws users to their website. Hawthorn Farm perhaps or maybe AETC? The views from the top of AETC PCC Airfoils are spectacular!

With the power of social media and the internet I feel sure you could drum up a lot of interest.
I am surprised Multiflight did not look to set up a subscription service before they withdrew the service, I pay £30 per annum for the manchester airport camera, Multiflight or similar has to be worth £50 per annum or more.
I would have thought it fairly easy to get 100 subscribers, to me would be worth £100, as getting to the airport even though a 5 minute drive not easy for me. I cant be the only person who would like to see the airport from the confines of their home.

Just back from holiday so I will speak to my expert and post when I have some information. Someone on the Manchester forum has just set up a camera I believe.

Who didn't see this one coming. Good news for Multiflight hopefully will mean we might see some interesting football charter flights operating into its Leeds/Bradford Airport based facility.

PS: Is that a model of the ex Boeing 737-800 Business Jet, G-OBBJ?

EXCITING NEW PARTNERSHIP TAKES OFF FOR MULTIFLIGHT AND HUDDERSFIELD TOWN

Multiflight is delighted to announce an exciting new partnership with newly-promoted Premier League club Huddersfield Town.

Multiflight has become the club’s Official Flight Partner for the 2017/18 season. The new partnership was celebrated by a visit to the club by Multiflight Director Miles Beecham.

Multiflight is providing air travel for the team throughout the season and can offer services to other club partners.

“As a Yorkshire-based firm we are extremely proud to be affiliated with ‘The Yorkshire Club’ as it enters a thrilling new era in its history within the Premier League,” said Miles.

He added: “We were cheering with the rest of the county when Huddersfield Town clinched promotion to the Premier League at Wembley; a tremendous result for a local Yorkshire team.

“We are looking forward to supporting them throughout the forthcoming season.”

Huddersfield Town’s Commercial Manager – Partnerships, John Williams, commented: “I am delighted that Multiflight has become an official partner of the Club.

“Multiflight is another Yorkshire-based company which makes this partnership even more special as we are working together ultimately to help the county’s only Premier League club.

“We are looking forward to working alongside Multiflight and we believe that this partnership could make a difference to our First Team during the upcoming Premier League journey.”

Very disappointing to find out this afternoon that parking charges at the South Side have been doubled from £1 an hour to £2 an hour. This dominated our discussion and we have a plan in place to fight back - quite legally and legitimately

Its probably worth mentioning the parking charges for Southside are the responsibility of Multiflight and not the airport company.

It's a long time since I used it. I thought you were refunded when you spent in the cafe, is that no longer the case?

I note the comments regarding the increased parking fees at Multiflight. Although not a car user I feel the increase is far too much and will hit a number of my friends who do. The charge for three hours is now up from £3.00 to £6.00 some high percentage increase. To the Multiflight owner Mr Hood it may be chicken feed but to the lower paid/retired it's hard to justify paying the new amounts. I always thought it was the Sheriff of Nottingham who robbed the poor not Robin Hood

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
