If there is any truth in the rumour then I can only see it being some sort of CWL - LBA - GLA or EXT - LBA - GLA. The legs to from Paris would be long assuming props to be used. Paris could probably support itself. This also perhaps goes back to when Flybe announced DUS that we were all getting giddy that that could be the start of something bigger. Maybe, just maybe, it is!

Or how about NWI-LBA-GLA as a possiblity?

LBA-NWI and GLA-NWI are currently untapped markets, Flybe will know the passengers figures that have used LBA-GLA. route under its previous Loganair Franchise..
This could be run using its franchise partner BAe Jetstream 41 seen as Eastern Airways have had a base at NWI for a long time whilst GLA is fairly new base. It would take the risk away from flybe offering too much capacity on the routes using a 74 seat Dash 8's.

Well Flybe already offer daily direct services from Exeter and Cardiff to Glasgow, so that might rule them out unless they want to up the frequency?

So apart from possibly London Southend, Bristol, Newquay or Norwich where else could the offer a service to Glasgow operating via Leeds?

NWI was the one which came to my mind too, with GLA-LBA-NWI being quite a direct routing and all segments being a bit of a pain by road or rail. A J41 (or Saab 340 if Loganair) would be an ideal sized aircraft to commence with.

CWL or EXT would also be great options, given existing public transport to these regions isn't particularly quick from here. It would also add 1-stop options to what are at present once a day non-stop frequencies from CWL and EXT to GLA. Flybe already sell additional frequencies on EXT-GLA which require changing aircraft at MAN, so any 1-stop, same plane services would likely be less hassle for most using those flights.

I couldnt see BRS LBA GLA happening because whilst BRS to LBA and LBA to GLA may do well, BRS to GLA would be competition with the direct U2 flights. CWL or NWI would remain my bet. CWL prob better than NWI as it would add frequency to the existing CWL GLA direct flights and prob offer more pax than NWI. T3 and BE well established at CWL too

Does Norfolk have the demand to support LBA/GLA? It is essentially a rural county with Stansted an hour away with multiple routes to the Central belt and Man served from NWI which is an hour away from LBA. It may be a niche route I suppose but I wouldn't think it will rock any passenger numbers.
Aviva formally known as the Norwich Union has substantial employment in York and Norwich and possibly still Leeds. Travelling between the three cities can be a nightmare by train or car. If companies like Aviva were to establish a deal with an airline for X number of seats per day it might be enough to enable LBA-NWI to work.

I agree. With up to 4 x daily easyJet rotations between BRS and GLA a flight that stops at LBA en route isn't likely to take many passengers between BRS and GLA although it would probably be quite popular between LBA and BRS as Finger 66 suggests.

CWL-GLA is less well served so would be a better bet from Severnside even with an en route LBA stop. Rail connectivity is also better between Bristol and Leeds than between Cardiff and Leeds.

That's a good point about Aviva, Aviador. Their main HO is in Norwich, dating back to their Norwich Union days. They have offices in Leeds, Sheffield and the old General Accident HO in York.

The A1/A17 route is chronic at best, and train journeys always involve a change at Peterborough. Norwich is also very useful for places such as Cromer and Great Yarmouth. Very touristy round there, such as Broads trips at Wroxham, Sandringham (which I can well recommend), North Norfolk Railway, Bure Valley Railway etc.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
