That’s great to hear. There’s a page on Facebook that constantly churns out deals from Cardiff airport. Whilst perhaps more low-key it does get a lot of traction and shows that it doesn’t cost an arm + leg to travel from CWL.Mynt Travel have being doing a Cardiff Airport day on their Facebook-- page with all sorts of different holidays from Spain to cruises to Lapland deals.
Yep there's one called Cardiff Airport Flights and Deals that does a great job in advertising what's available and promoting Cardiff Airport. That’s great to hear. I’ve got a Tui flight to Lanzarote booked in the summer hols with a free child space. It was no more expensive than other airports, even compared with Jet2 & EasyJet holidays. (Still more than I’d like to pay as my other half is a teacher so I’m signed up to pay more).
That page also has more followers than the official CWL Facebook page!Yep there's one called Cardiff Airport Flights and Deals that does a great job in advertising what's available and promoting Cardiff Airport.
I'm not surprised! Whoever is behind the page deserves a medal for their dedication and work! That page also has more followers than the official CWL Facebook-- page!
42k and growing fast vs CWLs 35k
Yep unfortunately especially when it comes to Cardiff there'll always be haters.I've seen that page and does well in promoting holiday deals and flights from CWL. You still the usual moaners and haters on there though, but you can't get away from that anywhere on social media these days.
Looping back on this, I’ve just seen Ryanair now have an agreement with kiwi.com. I imagine more to come in the near future.LOVE Holidays an On line travel operator, has come to an agreement with RYANAIR, to use their airline for their holiday flights. Ryanair has taken some of the OTA companies to court during the past year, including ",On the Beach" amongst others, for screen scraping their flights and adding further costs to them. Ryanair won the case, but lost some passenger numbers as a result. They are however happy with the agreement with Love Holidays. This is good news for CWL passengers who will have a greater choice of holidays, and may persuade FR to increase their flights from CWL, which are desperately needed, especially with the bad news from KLM.
Well the original Cardiff Airport used to be where the Celsa steelworks is now by tremorfa. The Cardiff Parkway site near Hendre Lake gets my vote!
Any South West UK airport is going to be the other side of the Severn it's just the more logical site and yes Bristol does lose a lot of passengers from it's area to London airports specifically Heathrow and Gatwick but I'd also expect Luton as well.I can't see BRS supporters accepting anything this side of the bridge, not when their airport is doing so well at 9.8 million passengers this year. Although they have just launched a campaign to get a further 1 million passengers local to their area, who they believe still travel to London to begin their journeys.
I'd imagine some are but most of the packages tend to have coach travel as the option these days.A long and time consuming journey by road. Any chance they are flying to BRS?
By any chance was it a Jet2 charter? The Scotland team flew into BRS yesterday.
