Would Icelandair neccesarily sell seats for a charter on their own website?

Considering Cardiff has a long runway, relatively cheap to operate into and cargo facilities, it’s a shame Cardiff hasn’t been able to chip away at Cargo flights a bit better.

The runway at Cardiff isn't particularly long. It is adequate for the routes currently served but it is too short for any kind of cargo hub operation where you looking at a 3000m length runway.

In the linked tweet is a photo of an article about the airport in the South Wales Echo.

Off to the airport early in the morning for our flight to Rome. So far I have to say the Flybe app is shockingly bad as it is slow and you can’t add the boarding pass to my iPhone wallet but never mind. We will be getting the bus from Cardiff Bay to the airport very early but as it’s a weekend it’s free (super). Looking forward to seeing the extended departure lounge and hope to post some pics.

Have a great trip!

So got the bus from the bay at 04:05 this morning to the airport. Nice and easy. 30 min and we were there for free. Through security in 5 min and into the extended departure lounge. Looking good. Still a few walls up between gate 1 and the executive lounge and the new extension properly doubles the seating capacity. Flight to Rome was 50 min late due to crew issues. Whilst boarding the Ryanair flight arrived from Dublin and to my surprise well over 100 people got off it. Flight with Flybe was great. It was my first time with them but the crew was fantastic and the pilot spent the whole flight point view out us. I have some photos of the extension but the website is saying they are to big (they are on my iPhone) so if anybody has any tips I will upload them.

Try posting them onto a certain social media site beginning with F and ending book and then downloading the photos back to your phone or laptop and then upload them from there as that seems to work for me. Or you could try uploading them to the Media gallery and see if that works.

Glad you had a good flight with Flybe! What was the load like for that flight?

That's great, Rome does seem to be a success for Flybe! And thanks for the photos! It looks good!

Thinking of taking the flight up to Valley and back in a day.

Could anyone potentially chip in and suggest things to do in Angelsey and what sort of transport links there are between Valley and Angelsey?

Hopefully as well they can get the slots for the winter and

I honestly don't know about the public transport links but i have heard that some hire car companies will do a meet and great at the airport.
This link might help with bus services.

Returned home last night from Rome. Flight was good and the crew were excellent about 100 on the flight. Had to hold coming into Cardiff whilst the runway was checked for ice so landed about 10 min late. Through the airport in 10 mins. Like what they have done with the walkway from the west side of the airport. Done up like a castle, countyside and the lift down like a mine lift. Nice little touch. Security now has 8 desks but no e gates but there appears to still be work walls up. Got the bus home which was a disaster as the 20:30 didn’t turn up and the 21:00 parked outside the barrier at 20:40 leaving about 10 - 15 of us stood in the cold until 20:58 which apparently wasn’t the drivers problem!! Bad attitude on him. Other than the bus a good experience with Flybe and the airport and a great few days in Rome.

Just a thought, has cardiff seen a 737MAX or A320NEO yet?
Not that i know of. I've no doubt the airport would do a press release about it if it'd happened. Probably the best chance to see a MAX in 2018 would be Norwegians TFS flight. I've no doubt Vueling will end up with the A320neo eventually but I'd be surprised if they got them in 2018.
The A320neo did visit Cardiff during testing though.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
