Noticed whilst walking along the railway line this afternoon that workmen were on the extension. May only have been H&S work to ensure everything was sound and secure, but looked like some scaffolding may have been going up ?
They are just making the site safe so I am told, the project is shelved for a few years !

Amongst everyone hope had a Great Christmas - i am still writing to airlines let see what happens we need more flights in Birmingham International Airport - amongst every one Happy Holidays and Enjoy 2021 x x x

Just flew back into BHX.. Have to say service wise was faultless & the flight was fairly full considering (Lisbon but I don’t have a clue about loads or how the route is doing generally).. My only criticism is the terminal is looking really tired in parts. The arrival area when leaving the plane even had a strange 90s carpet & decor! That’s before entering the more modern border control area. I know it’s only a really a face lift but I hope the 500million investment still goes ahead

actually will it encourage new airlines? how will the likes of Qatar, Etihad, Gulf Air etc see it? Knowing that Birmingham is associating with Emirates might actual put them off starting a new service??

I am presuming that Emirates are paying something towards the extra advertising?

For some weird reason, my days off work tend to involve being out of my flat by 5am and not getting back until 10pm. Back to work and the regular "fix" of 7.40am to 7.15pm hours
