There are 4 routes in that list that LBA have had, but no longer do.

Hendi, Monarch had 2 based A320s at LBA from day one of their base - initially two brand new ones equipped with winglets but these didn't last long. At the time they went under, they had just agreed to increase their base at LBA to 3 A320s - which would indicate that they were pretty happy with how they were doing here.Surely there is potential to have another based airline, before monarch went under they were about to or had just based 2 brand newish a320s? I guess it's going to take someone taking a gamble in these times with airlines sinking left right and centre. With the correct equipment and timings I'm surely the custom is there, I thought easyjet might have kicked on and offered a few more routes when they started there Geneva service but i guess it wasnt to be.
Cheers for clearing that up heather. I knew they had 2 new a320s at some point didnt know they had agreed to base a 3rd unit though. What were jet2's and Ryanair's bases like back then? If monarch were happy to have a 3 aircraft base surely that shows the potential is or was there for more airlines/based.Hendi, Monarch had 2 based A320s at LBA from day one of their base - initially two brand new ones equipped with winglets but these didn't last long. I recall that when Monarch agreed to a 3rd based aircraft at LBA back in 2017, (for summer 2018) Jet2 had around 14 based aircraft and Ryanair had 3 still, but with many more flights operating using non based aircraft.Cheers for clearing that up heather. Its a bit of a silly debate this as we all know that LBA could have jet2,ryanair and easyjet operating from it all with a large base of aircraft and very healthy loads per flight. Its just getting the airlines to do the above, but with improved infrastructure and dare I say it runway improvements it would happen, we are in west Yorkshire here!I recall that when Monarch agreed to a 3rd based aircraft at LBA back in 2017, (for summer 2018) Jet2 had around 14 based aircraft and Ryanair had 3 still, but with many more flights operating using non based aircraft.
Except if you read it again, it is not a debate. A question was asked and I answered it. Im trying to be positive about our airport as I know it has massive potential and no way am I having a go at anyone on here,im just very straight to the point.
T.....my sister who lives 20 mins from Stansted is out in Spain at the moment and got her flight with Jet2 at £75 return and Ryanair virtually own that airport....so why did Jet2 go there I wonder if they have to slash prices so low to compete.....I really think they will leave there as that has to be a money loser.....
