From what I can see reading recent posts on here it seems EasyJet are taking the same route as they did down here at BHX that is steadily open routes over a period of a few years with away based aircraft then bingo they open a base.

LBA and EasyJet seem set on this course with your terminal expansion the catalyst.

Just an view from a distance 😃

No new routes for S25 have been announced yet & CDG would be classed as a new route. Even if Winter24 CDG was a slot sitter (which I don't think it is) why would they choose LBA and not just throw them into LGW or similar? So its an interesting choice for them to choose us. I think / hope they will slowly grow LBA with W pattern flying. But Winter24 is the largest presence ever of easyJet and not to be sniffed at. Its one to watch.

That's pretty much exactly as the LBA CEO described it.

Looking on the easyJet website, it appears there is only 23 seats left on the first outbound LBA-CDG, not a bad start if you ask me with still another 13 days to go. Prices seem to be high ish, which indicated they're not being sold a rock bottom either. Hopefully easyJet/LBA will be happy with the results.

Is that on an A319 or A320? I seem to recall A320 NEOs being mentioned..

Indeed they are 😉 looking very positive for LBA

I agree. FRA, MUC, MAD, BRU would be excellent.
Really don't think BRU will happen with anyone. That Business market is long gone - even the bigger airports have massively reduced frequency/capacity on BRU these days. More than happy to be proven wrong though and us get a BRU service - just don't see it happening - with anyone

EZY does not fly to FRA and has very limited service to BRU. LJU, PUY, BIA, BRI, RJK are not served from MAN so are not likely at LBA for now. If EasyJet expand at LBA then it will be to support the holiday business, not to provide seat only to cities. It might be monotonous to see more ALC, AGP and PMI, but welcome baby steps and see where they lead.

I think Alicante, Faro & Palma will definitely on the list so to build the easyJet Holiday brand awareness around the area.
These destinations are already done to death. If they really have to duplicate then less well served routes like Malta would be better, plus routes to Germany, Copenhagen, Italy (Venice?) and Madrid seem like good choices.

Together with the easyjet holiday brand routes to palma, alicante and malaga will always sell well. Start with those destinations first then test the water with something different.

Also with Tui not having such a large offering from LBA, easyjet have a unique opportunity to capture some of their customers on the holiday market that would otherwise only have Jet2 as an alternative. You could say it would definitely be a good move for them.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
