I haven’t seen any trends to suggest that easyjet will enter deep nights, that’s not to say they won’t, regarding the CLEUD issue directly, I cannot imagine a scenario where such large investment packages could be secured if there was any concern that they’d be artificially capped and limited by some archaic night quotas. It’s nonsensical on all fronts.
I agree entirely but thanks to the anti airport lobby and a poorly drafted planning approval, plus a council planning department that is in defensive mode, we are where we are. And they don't have to operste in deep night to count against night quotas. 0600-0700 will do, and anytime after 2300.

Of course, behind the scenes things may be changing but what I'm saying is what's been said at the ACC by airport management. There's a reason why they're doing what they are to win the CLEUD argument.

Given the vast difference in population, should’ve been a cake walk getting easyJet in over NCL. But another year of wait it is, I suppose.
Not true. NCL was always naturally the next base because of its history with easyJet. It’s also quite remote from elsewhere which means they don’t have to compete with themselves over the traffic.

LBA is a completely different consideration in spite of its larger immediate catchment area. Along with the factors Aviador and White Heather have outlined, the airport has never had much of an easyJet presence until recently, it’s also fairly close to MAN and LPL. So to suggest that it’s a cake walk is disingenuous.

Whilst this is great news to help easyJet continue to test the water at LBA, and with good days and times of op, but without meaning to be too negative, it's another safe route that is already served. And it's a safe route suffering mass tourist protests. I really do hope that once we get a U2 base that they finally try something different.
All the above said I am still really pleased to see whatever U2 expansion comes out way.
Amsterdam on its way I wonder........

EasyJet adding 2x weekly BCN for the winter.

Timings:

Credit where it’s due as it looks like EasyJet have done there home work and seen gaping gap in the market once again.

The Leeds - Barcelona route is underserved at just 2x weekly Boeing 737-300’s by jet2 & they don’t operate the route year round either with no service from late November to mid February.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
