Don’t bother getting to know. Or even waste your time googling. Someone famous for his looks in Ibiza.

Probably got live laugh love plastered on the wall with a velvet crushed carpet to match.
And his one contribution to society is a burning face and daft haircut. I’d say it’s bizarre but it’s the world we live in now unfortunately.

Holidaymakers in Cape Verde were shocked to discover that a man seen wandering naked through a luxury hotel in the early hours was their EasyJet pilot. The incident unfolded at the five-star Meliã Dunas Beach Resort and Spa, where the captain had checked in after flying passengers from the UK on August 4.

Witnesses say the veteran pilot began drinking shortly after arrival and continued into the night. At 2:30 a.m. on August 5, he was reportedly seen staggering unclothed through reception, heading towards the bar, spa, and gym. Guests who recognized him raised concerns, prompting EasyJet to remove him from duty before his scheduled return flight to London Gatwick on August 6.

An EasyJet spokesperson confirmed the pilot was “immediately stood down” pending an investigation, reiterating that passenger and crew safety is the airline’s highest priority. The captain remains suspended while the inquiry continues.

Looks like MOL may have some inside information when he said Easy might be sold off.

EasyJet’s share price surged as much as 11.5% today after an Italian media report suggested cruise giant MSC may be weighing a bid for the budget airline. Traders drove heavy volumes, with more stock changing hands in the first two hours of the London session than in the previous three full days combined.

Shares hit a high of 517.2 pence before settling up 3% at 478.9 pence. That marked EasyJet’s sharpest rally since early 2023, despite the airline’s stock being down 14% this year compared with a 1.4% dip for the wider European travel index.

The Corriere della Sera report claimed MSC was exploring a joint move with an investment fund, though details were said to be preliminary. However, MSC quickly denied the speculation, telling Reuters it had “no involvement in this matter.”

Analysts questioned the strategic fit, with Bernstein’s Alex Irving noting, “While the industrial logic in a combination between MSC and Europe’s second-largest point-to-point airline is not obvious to us, could there be a break-up play?”

Im not sure. Palma itself is a lovely place and a lot of people like to visit there out of season when it's less overrun with tourists. I wonder if a twice weekly service would work through winter, with perhaps January excluded as on other routes?
Totally agree. For the past few years the first Jet2 flights of the year, which are usually Friday & Monday’s from mid February are always fully booked. They’re normally operated on 300’s. Never understood why they don’t put a 800 on these flights. Palma is a gorgeous city break in its own right. 2 a week through the winter months would, I’m sure, be able to sell.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
