Thanks Scottie as always. I curious how your movements over the 4 days of the Bank Holiday weekend compared with the same 4 days last year.
If my maths are correct, Friday to Monday just gone totaled 2,543 movements. Last year for those 4 days was 2,475.
A modest increase overall of 2.75% with more significant increases Friday and Sunday but very small increases Saturday and Monday.
Passenger numbers could still result in higher percentage growth depending on the mix of larger to smaller aircraft and of course LFs.
We'll see how May looks in total in due course for both movements and passengers and maybe an early indication of what to expect for the summer - although some frequency increases on longhaul, and one or two new routes on shorthaul have yet to take effect. When Indigo starts, it will be interesting to see if there is any noticeable impact on other carriers - Turkey and the MEB3 for example.
