They sure do Ray. I would even go as far to say they are no longer rare visitors to MAN anymore.

Jetair fly B737-800 OO-JAX is operating for Jet2 at Manchester today.

It seems Estonian Airlines have swapped their UK based E170 recently as ES-AEB is inbound to MAN as I type.

Further to an earlier post regarding the Bayern Munich vs Man United match.

The Lufthansa A340-300 will arrive at 15:45 tomorrow (Monday), and depart 01:45 on Wednesday morning. It will be parked up during this time on a remote stand.

There will be a Niki A321 arriving at 0900 on Tuesday that will depart 0220 on Wednesday. Apart from the 3 daily A321's on the scheduled Lufthansa flights and the Singapore airlines flight (which incidentally is sold out in all classes on Tuesday and Wednesday), there appears to be no more flights.

For the away leg, there will be an Aeroflot A321 taking Manchester united to Munich and I assume the based charter fleet will take care of the fans as I can't see anything special in.

British Airways have sent B767-300 G-BNWX on this afternoons shuttle. Its currently on the ground now and should be heading back in the next 15 minutes.

The 767's seem to go to EDI and GLA most days from LHR, does anyone know the reason for this or is it simply down to demand given that it takes alot longer by rail from Scotland to London than from MAN or LBA?

GLA and EDI get the B767-300 due to peak time demand for the flights.

Manchester rarely gets them as it is a route operated by 'mixed fleet' cabin crew, who are not trained on the B767. LBA/EDI/ABZ/GLA and NCL are flown by 'eurofleet' cabin crew who are trained on the B767.

Yesterdays flight on the B767 was operated by eurofleet on an ad-hoc basis.

Lufthansa are on strike today with many flights cancelled, but Bayern Munich are at MAN and need to get home.

So, lufthansa did something clever. They upgraded the team bus home to an A340-600 and stuck all the cancelled passengers on the flight too.

Wish id booked to fly today now. An intra-Europe A340-600 scheduled flight sounds great!

Lufthansa A340-600 D-AIHH has just called approach working the LH2571 MUC-MAN-MUC flight.

I wish I could post the photo's, but they are not mine so shall not due to copyright, but, what a fantastic 3 days it has been at Manchester in terms of movements.

We have had Singapore A380 9V-SKA, British Airways B777-200 G-VIIL and B767-300 G-BNWX, Gulf Air A321's A9C-CE and A9C-CF now fully painted and look stunning. Lufthansa A340-300 D-AIGF and A340-600 D-AIHH, Niki A321 OE-LED, Condor B757-300 D-ABOL in new colours, Saudia B777-200 HZ-AKD and plenty of biz jets (around 10-12).

Still got plenty to look forward to, Air Canada rouge B767-300's, US Airways/AA B757-200, FlyNas A330-300 and Cathay Pacific B777-300ER on scheduled flights (latter not till winter but its still a big deal), with Aeroflot also sending an A321 to take Man United to Munich.

Unfortunately the photos are via a private link but Ill see what I can do.

Also to note, Turkish seem to have upgraded to an all A321 operation, having sent them in the past 2 days and at least the next week.

I recently heard that Turkish had gone all Airbus at MAN freeing up the 739's now used into BHX, I've just had a quick look at various random dates and MAN definitely seems all A321.

Some recent visitors to MAN.

These images are not mine, I cant credit all as my friend got them off facebook, Im not on it so unless there is a watermark, Im not sure who took them. If they request removal I will comply.

A6-ETK B77W Etihad, soon t be very regular sights at MAN again.

Lufthansa used A320 D-AIQT on the LH3434/3435 DUS-MAN-DUS flights tonight. Ive never know them use anything larger than the CRJ900 on this route, so certainly a surprising change.

XL airways France A330-200 F-GRSQ positioned into Manchester as XLF019P this afternoon. Im not sure why its here as it didn't depart again, but, XLF have been into MAEL Manchester before so could be why its here.

RAF A330 MRTT G-VYGG landed earlier as TOW23 for MAEL Manchester. As XL France A330 is currently in the hangar too, how MAEL are looking after 2 A330's in that small hangar is anyones guess!

Those MAEL hangars do appear to be very TARDIS like, I don't know how they got all three A300's in the Birmingham one at the same time.

Forgot to say thanks for the great pictures, it must have been one hell of a day for the local spotters :good:

United Arab Air Force A330 MRTT is making a stop on its way to California again on Saturday. Arrives 0645 and departs at 1000. It will then night stop on its way back which is still TBC.

Apparently this flight is now scheduled to operate at least once per month until further notice, Im assuming the UAE have resources in California that require regular flights. It will be interesting to see why MAN was selected for these flights, as Im assuming the crew need to clear immigration and could have done so at SNN or DUB?

Also due on Sunday is Cathay Pacific B747-400 B-HUA, arriving as CX3337 at 1600 for a customs check and night stop. It will then depart 1330 as CX3338 on Monday to Bruntingthorpe for scrap. One by one the passenger B747's are heading for the scrap man......

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
