ASL Airlines Belgium currently have a regular Sunday evening flight with a 737-800 (callsign 3V4006/TAY4006). According to Ian’s blog the flights have been running for less than a month. Arrival from CDG is scheduled for 1934 and departure to GDN at 2040.

I notice traffic at cargo has been getting interesting recently suggesting passenger stuff has become boring somewhat! Am I alone with this opinion?
Yeah, I have noticed this; the cargo stuff I atm is excellent, I went for a walk in Marston Green just for National to take off, and the area under the runway was packed with people taking photos and videos; I cant say it was all for National, but people left as soon as it took off.

I think that the cargo operations have been interesting and varied over the past couple of years, from the 'coal burning' An-12's to the recent B747 flights. I'm intrigued as to what the B747 flights are for, but understand that this information could be sensitive.
Obviously, passenger flights are always going to be mostly routine scheduled/regular services and with what the World has been through recently, their number plummeted, making unusual visitors less likely. Hopefully things are on the mend now and we will start to see more variation when it comes to one off flights.
Much as I enjoy noting the cargo movements at BHX, there is one big problem with them - you can't book to go on them.

Decent cargo addition, weekday Lufthansa A321F.

Full credit to Pete for the heads up.

To the UK and Ireland, for example, we will offer daily weekday flights to Birmingham and Dublin, enabling our customers to build reliable, scalable and fast supply-chains.

That's great news, but the destination list for two aircraft seems too much for daily weekday services. I hope I'm wrong, and they'll serve BHX at the frequency quoted. It reminds me of my younger days, when there was a regular Lufthansa Cargo B737-200 to BHX.
The dedicated cargo operations at BHX seem to have come on leaps and bounds over the last couple of years.

As the Bhx part of the forum is fairly quiet recently I've been looking at the cargo movements for today.

Fleetair have five aircraft on the ground over the day including three nightstoppers three SF340 one each AT343, AT372.
All smaller stuff apart from a Cavok AN12, and a n/s West Atlantic 737 plus the regular Lufthansa A321 in later tonight.

Freight goes under the radar but helps keep the airport ticking over the total of aircraft on the ground today is fifteen.

Info from Ian's blog.

Yes plenty of variation.

Yesterdays types were three SW4s, twoC208s, and single examples of a AN26 and aPC12. Also two ATR72s of Zimex all regular flights for BHX except the AN12 and the AN26 which both pretty frequent visitors on a more random basis.

The Sunday evening ASL/FedEx B734 from Paris and on to Gdansk seems to have disappeared since Christmas.
Anyone know the reasons behind this?.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
