2x easyjet flights going from Glasgow and Barcelona to Bristol are diverting into Birmingham due high winds at Bristol Airport.Good to see there using R15 aswell.Good week for R15 and Sheldon country park.R33 spotters must be devastated.😂😂😂

I can remember being on a US A/W plane at PHL waiting to go to LAS when Air Force 1 was about to land. Nothing else moved for 30 minutes.

Runway 33 spotters will get there runway back soon and then we will be Loooooooooooooooooooooooooool

Runway 33 always ;-)

I think it might because of weather in Germany as there were huge storms, I was listening to a conversation up here in MAN with Bangladesh and he was told at least 2 hour delay due to Germany putting block on airspace because of storms which ran south from Frankfurt to almost Milan and when I looked at rain map it looked just awful right up to higher altitudes

Pisa, Venice and two flights Naples showing as cancelled by a mix ofJet2, Ryanair and EasyJet on the airport website.

Was it even a thunderstorm? I thought it was a heavy shower with cunim clouds which caused the usual problems at MAN if there are numerous a/c at various stages of descent and approach.. When approaches did restart,, there seemed to be one or two longer gaps as a/c were descended from higher levels at which they'd held. Sometimes, the bad weather clears from final approach but then poses a problem if it's moved to the north or south,, preventing normal vectoring for approaches. ATC were certainly busy for an hour during which time about 18-20 flights landed.

The KLM held over Doncaster initially rather than continuing to the stack at ROSUN, before diverting to BHX.

That's interesting. We're 5 miles to the east of MAN and I didn't see any lightning or hear any thunder.
It's not the first time in recent days that the storm has been out to the NE which has played havoc with arrivals but allowed a/c to take off. BHX, EMA, LBA, NCL and LPL have all had diversions on occasions.

a few BHX aircraft updates:-

Monday mornings AF1565 to CDG, E190 F-HBLA had to be cancelled, as the tug driver decided it would be a good idea to drive his tug into the aircraft, putting a nice big dent in its nose cone, aircraft still on the ground at BHX

Sunwing B738, C-GOWG went tech Monday afternoon, and hasn't flow since, delaying the Burgas flight TOM7116 (which has just departed 2hours ago on Priviledge Style B772 EC-MUA), adding to TUI's woes, B738 G-TAWN then went tech at Naples, and hasnt flown since, passengers now flying back on SmartLynx ES-SAA estimated around 21:30 tonight!

expect a few TUI aircraft substitutions over the next day or two.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
