New rail service began today from Chester / Wrexham to Liverpool Lime Street, via a piece of line known as the Halton Curve . This service will as time progresses be extended to further Welsh destinations. Importantly trains call at Liverpool South Parkway, which offers massively improved rail access for Liverpool Airport passengers from Chester and beyond.
This rail service was not running for period during the current Covid19 pandemic . I recently checked and trains are now running as normal therefore airport access for Chester and N Wales passengers is now conveniently available by rail again, all be it, no rushes in passengers probably just yet.
What are rail services like on Merseyside at the moment Carl?..busy hit and miss or something inbetween maybe?

I think thats only to Manchester, we were talking about Liverpool
Thanks for that..I`d missed the LPL bus bit but very useful ta

Consultant WSP is preparing the project’s outline business case, which should be completed next October. ...
I'm not that familiar with the roads around Liverpool Airport, but would this new road prevent the approach to the airport being made through a housing estate. I have often thought how strange it feels when driving to Liverpool Airport compared to others...
