Has an Antonov just passed overhead ? I heard a heavy-sounding prop at 1.37pm.

At 1335 today heard heavy propjet noise overhead and rushed but could see nothing even though it was partially clear skies.
Checked on radar and just passed directly overhead the airport:-

Lockheed CP-140 Aurora 140116 showing cruising at 28000' heading North.
Canadian Air Force operated version of the P-3 Orion, A classic aircraft.

Just visiting Otley this morning and heard what sounded like an Antonov 12 in the overhead around 1000hrs. Researched this one and found 'TUAF401', a Turkish Air Force C130E, reg 6313188, north westwards.

Morning all. I saw what looked like a 737 fly overhead southbound at about 6.15 this morning. At about 4000 feet. I thought it might be inbound but it wasn't. Any ideas ?

Not sure if this is what you saw, but I just had a look on FR24 playback and there was a Cathay Pacific flight (CX219) from Hong Kong descending into Manchester at that time, which passed directly over LBA at 9000 feet, heading SW. Might have been that? It was an A350, but at a higher altitude than your estimate, so could make sense.

Could well have been that. There was nothing else that I could see at the time. A widebody Airbus at 9000 ft probably looks much the same size as 737 at 4000.

On a nice course to intercept the 23R localiser but the intermediate approach routing strikes me as odd.

Passing directly over the airfield at 1325 was Citationjet 3 N320CJ(ex D-CEFD), which had departed Doncaster on delivery back to USA.

Sun Country is a name from the past. Dan-Air often used to lease a 727 or two to them during their winter downtime.

Yes they did more or less every winter in the 80s !
I never got to take one over the pond but my colleagues informed me they were escorted from the airfield after arrival by the local pilot union reps to make sure they could not fly internally within the United States.

Army Wildcat ZZ393(Valiant 61) routing just East of airfield(1705) virtually in formation with Chinook ZH892(Vortex 410) anf ollowed by another Wildcat ZZ385(Valiant 62) aprrox 5 minutes behind

1300-
Just entering the zone from South is Robinson R.44 D-HBAM, to overfly the field inbound to Coney Park

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
