Is that the Cessna? Reg sounds familiar white and blue from memory, flew it a few times from LBA.
Also flew G-MRSN dark blue R 22 from Coney Park

It is round and about most days seeing it is now owned by the Sherburn Aero Club

I know it is not overhead LBA, but just spotted this guy overhead. Luckily the skies were clear for a change. He is a long way from home.

An interesting aircraft just routing in from the East to enter the zone at 6000' at approx 2140. Dash-8-300 C-GFMX(Speedair 315) is being operated by the Home Office to counteract the "small boats". Tonight he is routing(heading 010) from a point on the Southeast edge of our zone up to a point 6 miles Southeast of Newcastle. He departed Lydd at 1930 and is eventually due to land back at Lydd.

Anyone spot something unusual in the night sky last night? As you may know a gas ballon took off from Germany 3 days ago and has been gradually meandering around over the UK for the past two days. Well last night it was the turn of West Yorkshire to be graced with its presence. Flying at 3000' it was noted pinging over the following places-
0253 ---Entere zone from South
0259 ---Over Leeds City Centre
0313----Holt park/Cookrigde, virtually directly over my house
0318----Over Bramhope
0326 ---Over Leathley and heading North outof the zone
It is currently over Scotland(0930).
At least it will not have disturbed our friends in GALBA)))))

They will have heard it knowing them (the whoosh of the burner) or stayed up to watch it and complain it blocked the view of the stars!

Not sure it did as we have no ATC at that time of night in the winter. Surely with no ATC we dont technically have any airspace either?

There is no whoosh of the burner as it is a gas filled balloon.

It flew over cookridge and Bramhope so was in Leeds airspace whether open or not 😍
