Harry by any chance ?
No not Harry. He was one of the warehouse supervisors who transferred to the new cargo centre when it opened. Certain followers on this site know his name (some knew him when he was still with us)! So many of the old hands have gone and those who are left would not recognise the place.

Cricky , can go back to the Jurassic era of the likes of Euravia ( then Britannia), Air Spain, Spantax with the Coronado, British Eagle, Bavarian, Court Line and I vaguely remember Air Algeria operating Caravelles not to mention Derby Airways Dc3s to Jersey and BMA Argonoughts.
Channel airways Comet 4s. Alidair Viscounts.Aviogenex tu134 occasional Laker 1-11. Didn't have the quantity but i am not sure my interest
in aviation would have stayed if all i was seeing was conveyor belt of lookalike aircraft and liveries back then,

I think I go further back than 58terminus remembering SAM DC-6Bs, Spantax DC-7Cs, Trans Europa DC-7Cs, Invicta Vikings and DC-4s and Air Spain Britannia, Aer Lingus Carvair and Aer Turas Bristol 170 and DC-4s - a time when less was more ! Kept my interest going until I discovered football, girls and the pub ….. in that order and then I started a career in aviation and that was my hobby gone forever.

Yes I remember the Aer Lingus Carvairs strange looking things but interesting all the same, happy days indeed.

Much later we had Alitalia and SAS DC9s operating regular freight flights for a year or so when hanger three was used.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
