Sounds quite positive for 2016. I wonder what destinations might be on the radar. I wonder if they might plump for Berlin Brandenberg when they ever get round to opening it (so much for German efficiency!!). Oslo or Stockholm would be nice.

I'll settle for any destinations that are successful and Ryanair want to keep flying from LBA.

Anyone else noticed that Ryanair's Leeds/Bradford to Kos route is no longer bookable on there website.
It was up until very recently showing as been operated once weekly on a Thursday afternoon throughout August using one of the Leeds based aircraft.

Wonder why it's been removed?

That's one of the things about Ryanair that really irritates me. Imagine having booked onto the Kos flight with accommodation booked and paid for only to find out you have lost your flight option.

Definitely looks like Ryanair have axed the (August Only) Leeds/Bradford - Kos route, As the based aircraft will now operate an the extra 6th weekly (August only) service to Faro instead. This flight was originally down to be operated by an Faro based aircraft.

FR2503 = Leeds: 13:55 – Faro: 17:00 / FR2304 = Faro: 17:25 – Leeds: 20:30

PS: Ryanair have today announced that its opening a 4 aircraft base at Copenhagen this year..

Ryanair have announced a 5 aircraft base at Berlin. Bearing in mind that they have already indicated their intentions to operate to Germany from LBA in 2016, there must be a possibility now that Berlin might be one of their chosen routes. I would think it would be sure to do well and if operated by a Berlin based aircraft could be in addition to the routes operated by our 3 based aircraft, not replacing existing routes.

Still amazes me that Eurowings are still not at LBA.
They operate from 12 dept points in the U.K including Newquay.

Ryanair would be great but a German carrier would be much more interesting.

Ryanair are at it again. They have added the following extra flights to the already known summer 2015 programme.

Gdansk = Increases to 3x weekly August Only (MON,WED & SAT)
Venice Treviso = Increases to 3x weekly July Only (TUE, THU & SAT)
Limgoes = Increases to 3x weekly June to August (TUE, THU & SUN)
Malaga = Increases to 8x weekly August only (2x MON & 1x TUE, WED, THU, FRI. SAT & SUN)

Ryanair Winter 2015/16 flights have just been released for sale this morning. Looks like LBA see’s some increases but no new routes have been announced yet but could still happen as this is just a general first release for all bases and will most likely be updated given time..

Good news as Ryanair have now confirmed that its going to grow operations next winter 2015/16 at Leeds/Bradford with extra flights been added to Malaga, Alicante and Gdansk. Yes it's a shame no new routes have been added but can't complain as its good to see ryanair growing again..

I don't know whether anyone else has noticed but Ryanair are only operating 8/9 flights per day this summer. Last year it was 10/11 and 2013 up to 13. This will definitely affect the 2015 passenger numbers, even allowing for the increase in Winter 2015/6.

Today it has been reported on Twitter that Ryanair has carried its 7 millionth passenger from LBA. Quite and achievement.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
