Not the nicest of subjects I know but here goes. For an age the stairwell in the MSCP has smelled of urine and as we use this car park on a daily basis (and have done so for the last 15 years or so) I can confirm that the source of this is unfortunately a Plane Spotter! Our office has both males and females using this car park (and paying a very pretty penny to do so as well). Now I know that there are a number of people who spot using this location (and to be fair it IS a good location to spot from even with the top level closed off) but there is no excuse for this sort of behaviour.

May I ask that people think of their actions. Imagine if it was your daughter (or grand-daughter) who witnessed a bloke using an open (and public) stairwell as a toilet. How outraged would you be? If we want NCP to close off this car park to everyone but paying Customers this is the way to go.

And people then wonder why NCP are clamping down on using the top floor.

Once again the few spoil it for everyone (n)

More news about the car park on the cargo centre. I found out today that due to the lockdown the car park will be totally closed until further notice. Anyone using the car park has been informed by NCP of alternative arrangements for parking (i know we have had the communication). On a separate note the C17 today was a very nice sight to see. Even though we were working (key industry) it was nice to have a break while the aircraft was flying around. Stay safe everyone. How much spotting will be out there when we get through this, i don't know, but i hope we are all there to see it.

Shame. Was thinking of taking some photos of an empty airport.

Solution:
Obviously the airport is getting back to normality and back to basics.

We’re expecting a massive summer of ins and outs of new aircraft to new destinations

The amount of people that will be planespotting will be massive especially on both sides of the runway of 33 and 100 million percent R15

My solution is this:
For a reminder for people planespotting new aircraft new airlines.I was thinking of writing the everyday flight schedule for passer-byes and putting it around R33 walk path and R15 walk path.
WHO agrees?

If I was writing a notice for the benefit of casual passers by, I would just put the days and times of the most interesting movements (eg. Saudi on Tue/Thu/Sun).

I don’t think it would be used by dedicated spotters, nowadays most simply use their phones to see live arrivals and departures.

a fair idea antMC03, but please don't trouble yourself or risk damage on the airfield. Pay heed to Aviador and jfy1999, most interested persons will already be armed with the necessary info.

No I won’t be any risk. All I’ll be is finding somewhere to stick the flight schedule on.Won’t be doing it on bad weather’s obviously

Also be aware of how you may be placing the information. Private property embraces almost any structure, buildings etc., so if possible, ask permission. Good luck to you.

How sad is this, the minority who spoil it for everybody else ?

So c'mon on then Rishi, how are you going to solve the problem of anti social behaviour ?

I feel that antisocial behaviour would be greatly reduced by getting a lot more bobbies back on the beat. In my lifetime I’d be willing to bet that I’ve seen more police cars and police helicopters than police officers in person.

Kev also got kicked off the Mound behind 33 as it is apparent Private Property despite having a Fence a Cat could climb as Kev has seen let alone a Human and an unlocked Gate. The Mound behind it is closed due to the M42 works and he won't do Sheldon as that also has ASB. The guy was really dodgy last week The car he was in came back no trace he offered Kev a Cigarette after asking for a lighter left when Kev did and then was on the phone speaking in his own language apart from Car Park kept asking when is the next plane. The Car he was in was a Renault Kaptur or Kadjar which is a family car so Yeah dodgy. Kev has said he has to walk around the Car Park to activate the lights and that the police don't check. He used to show the top floor having broken glass and rubbish everywhere. So yeah sadly Kev won't do BHX by himself anymore maybe an occasional Stream from there.

A chap like Kev and his family provided a service that BHX failed to offer within their site, those miscreants should be grateful they do not reside in USA as law enforcement is somewhat more stringent there especially in and around airports. Bad behaviour is not tolerated. Here, in UK, it is almost celebrated, a bit of a laugh!

Yeah now they will do Manchester an airport they said they wouldn't do, LHR which they have done, LGW maybe, EMA mostly for Cargo and a few more. If they do BHX it maybe occasional I assume on Weekends when his Wife Michelle and Daughter Chloe ay at School or Work. Maybe July 1st for the A380 besides with how many people will be waiting for the A380 It will be much safer. And the top floor of the Carpark is closed due to weather. It hasn't been Icy for weeks

I would add at the end these times can always get delayed, heavily delayed or cancelled, and for them to check themselves for updates from airport arrivals sites. To stop ranting from a few if they turn up for one and it doesn't come at or near sched time.

@DarloPlaneBoy - am I being particularly slow this morning or can you please explain what you are talking about when you say:

No mention of any airline and, as far as I can see nothing mentioned on this thread for at least 2 weeks.

Please help me to understand what I have missed.

Scottie, he's talking about Kev from Airport Action and when/where he is planning to do his next live streams, after the one off issue he had at BHX a week ago. Its nothing to do with any airlines.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!
If anyone would like to share their local airport news right here in our news area let me know so I can give you the correct permissions to do so. It only takes a couple of minutes to upload a news story with an accompanying image. The news items can then be shared on the site homepage by you. #TakePart #Forums4airports Bring the news to one place!
survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
