That guy really does get around, I wonder what he does for a living? Or maybe this is his living, great job if it is
In his most recent Q&A video -

He thanks his patrons for their donations, from which he is planning to purchase a new laptop, camera and editing software (he mentions Adobe Premiere).
I think it's the same video where he stated that if each of his subscribers (around 13000 at the time), were to donate $1/month he could give up his job and do the video reports full time. ($156000/year to travel the world - nice!)
Much as I enjoy his videos, I'm not going to subsidise his hobby. I want my money for my hobbies.

I liked your comment as I agreed with you although you could perhaps call me a hypocrite as we have a subscription available for this site!

The difference here is we do have to pay for servers, domains, software and upkeep of the site unlike this chap who can let YouTube take care of all that at no personal cost to him.

We have about five or six subscribers who I am extremely grateful for as it softens the blow when work needs carrying out. Last year I spent around £200 on the software licence renewal and software upgrades along with domain renewals.

I pay @Ashley.S. on a freelance basis to carry out work that I can't do. The most recent upgrade was the Wikipage which actually has a glitch so it will need further work to get it working again.

For those who love using this site who don't wish to support us through the subscription service all I ask is that you don't use an Ad blocker.

What amazing piloting, thanks Ray; I don't know how skillful it is, but it looks it. The design of these planes is truly amazing looking at the sudden forces when the wheels hit the runway at an angle - but that's engineering, a subject I know very little about.

The EK 380s have three onboard cameras: one on the empennage looking forward along the top of the fuselage; one on the flight deck giving a pilot's eye view; one looking directly down beneath the aircraft.

They are fascinating, especially on take-off and landing. On one occasion going into Melbourne Tullamarine we encountered a very strong crosswind. Seeing the 380 'crabbing' down the final approach through the eyes of the camera with the nose pointing at times to what seemed almost like 90 degrees offset to the runway was a surreal experience. I had every confidence in the flight crew's ability and it was wonderful to see the way the nose was brought around as the wheels were about to contact the runway. Nervous passengers might not have enjoyed watching but need not have done had they so wished.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!
If anyone would like to share their local airport news right here in our news area let me know so I can give you the correct permissions to do so. It only takes a couple of minutes to upload a news story with an accompanying image. The news items can then be shared on the site homepage by you. #TakePart #Forums4airports Bring the news to one place!
survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
