Inaugural Flybe BHX - BHD flight

A great video from F4A's very own Ryan Kirkpatrick, flying on Flybe's inaugural flight.

Ryan also got to experience a water cannon salute at BHD, which isn't something that happens often.
Also, great to be able to put a face to a name. But don't be shy, Ryan. Post links to your videos at F4A.

It's a bit of a long one (but, well worth watching), so Brum X you'll need your pot of tea and packet of biscuits ready.

Loganair EMB-145 BHX - ABZ

Another interesting video that I found. The reviewer makes some very positive comments about BHX and it's easy accessibility (He starts his journey from Shrewsbury). Overall, a very good video.

Great video Matt. I was fortunate to get a glimpse of it departing 33 at 14.34. Obviously climbing in and out of cloud but very rapidly.

It’s departure today was spectacular, directly over Marston Green Station (I was on the platform). Some turn that was. Heavy rain at the time, was weather avoiding I guess. Traffic would normally hold until it cleared, but he was on a tight timescale after refuelling possibly ?

I found this last night when it was being live streamed (260722). I joined late, but was surprised to see two AH-64 Apache Longbow helicopters land at BHX at around the 75 minute mark. Overall, OK. But there do seem to be some problems with focus and pixelation, or possibly the live feed bandwidth.

I found this video about VIP's arriving for the Commonwealth Games. The first part shows aircraft arrivals at BHX, including the RAAF B737-700.

Although I'm not sure that all the arrivals they show were games related.

[EDIT] - I should have credited CobraEmergency for the video.

Noel Philips reviews Turkish Airlines A321-NEO IST - BHX

Landing by Captain Kangaroo!

Nice to see BHX feature in one of these videos, I quite enjoy watching Noel Phillips over the like of Sam Chui and Josh Cahill, sometimes it just looks like they’ve been blatantly paid to fly an airline and say great things about them.

Another vote for Noel Phillips here. 🙂

Always nice to learn more about some of the worlds airlines/airports that I may never get to experience. I especially enjoyed his recent trips to Africa and previous to that the very short flights hopping around the Orkney Islands.

His short video on the demise of Sheffield City airport was something different from his usual review format but all the more informative.

Heads Up!

For some weird reason, my days off work tend to involve being out of my flat by 5am and not getting back until 10pm. Back to work and the regular "fix" of 7.40am to 7.15pm hours
Heatwave Mk2 next week?
Some explosive weather build-ups currently in the North of England. What is it like where you are?

I don't believe I am quite covering enough roles at work. Its now 4 on a bad day, 5 on a good day and there is scope for a 6th and 7th role. Still on minimum pay but had the biggest payrise in the company,
