Just checked a random week in June and BHX is still showing as double daily. All flights are on a 737-900.

Of course it is. The pessimism on the forum is now out of control.Just checked a random week in June and BHX is still showing as double daily. All flights are on a 737-900.
Interesting thought Matt. Do they do that or just simply take the move as the opportunity to buy new?Imagine all the work involved for Turkish Airlines to move all aircraft (they have 292!!), ground equipment etc.. from the old airport to the new! A few of the grounded 737 Maxs have already been moved, flight time of 7 minutes between the airports!
Can you imagine all the ground equipment being driven in convoy between the airports too!! Huge logistic operations, would be quite a sight seen planes and equipment be moved! No wonder a few flights are being cancelled!
Looks awesome, puts British airports to shame.![]()
Maybe that's a good thing for all the UK airports that aren't Heathrow?and imagine if the UK tried to build an airport like this? it would take about 20 years to get planning consent, and then another 20 years to build, at about 20 times the cost!!!![]()
Apparently so.The contractors must love that. We are working very hard just a shame you cannot see us.I believe that stretch of M5 is a very difficult job because of all the work below the carriageway.
