I see where you’re coming from A330 .Look I’m just trying to create ideas and solutions not people who think they can overrule everyone another .Thanks for your feedback mate really appreciate it
I like Airport Action, but not managed to watch any streams for a couple of months. Last time I did there were up to 1,000 people watching live at peak times such as A380 arrival which was a huge jump from the summer. So well done, it seems to be growing nicely.

It's all about building the YouTube channel as that is the best way to help Airport Action grow. If I had a YouTube channel, that would be my main focus for all interactions every time. Anything that dilutes traffic away from the channel is a no.

That's a bit unfair @Just love planes you were not told it isn't possible to plug a YouTube channel, there is probably already a generic YouTube video thread somewhere on the BHX forum, but it shouldn't be necessary to have a specific YouTube channel thread. Those who have the correct subscription permissions can already plug other sites by using the signature facility.

Another fine misonformed headline bashing from the BBC. It is Mitie whose reputation is shot for failing to deliver against a contract, not BHX.

The BBC is either kicking us to bits or boring us rigid with Taylor bloomin Swift every two minutes!

No change there then!!.
Seriously though, i saw this on Midlands Today and winced at the damage items like this do to BHX.
Bring back the BBC of old. Today's is hardly worth watching, to be honest.

I can't help feeling that Bhx has a wonderful opportunity to steal a march over its competitors.

But, for it to take advantage it has got to ensure that from june, and to use an oft-used phrase, all it ducks are in a line...

With the new security scanners coming on line and the new multi-million £ entry to departures up-and-running and all bugs ironed out, holidaymakers will not have the hassle of the 100ml rule. This is an amazing opportunity, in PR terms, 'gold dust'...

Manchester, Bristol, East Midlands and others failed to meet the June deadline and, individually on application, have been given a year's grace to get the new security scanners.

If i have got all this right, Brum has a massive opportunity in front of it.

But, sadly as a Brummie, i fear we don't always take the opportunities afforded us.

Fingers crossed, toes 'n all. Time will tell...

The BBC News channel did a lengthy report on the delay of the new security scanners at many UK airports, and the years grace they have now secured.
However, and typical of the BBC in recent years, only seemed concerned about LHR and LGW. They cheerily pointed out that London City Airport was all set for June 1st.
No mention of BHX!!.

BHX mentioned on the 6pm news.

They mentioned smaller airports such as Birmingham and Newcastle ;-)

Big isn't always best

Sorry mate, I'm not following you ?

Shall we just leave it there, Looooooooooool
Just following your comment, that's all. "I said Smaller, not Small" hence my response "neither is smaller". ie BHX is not a big airport and smaller isn't any better either. Apologies for my bad engerland grammar.

Given all the complaints about the lifts it looks as if these might negate any benefits from the scanners.

The media coverage of yesterday's security issue at BHX, particularly local BBC, was inaccurate and detrimental to the airport.
Yes, many flights were diverted or cancelled, causing unseen problems for passengers caught up in the situation. However BBC Midlands Today were still reporting the airport was closed at 6.40pm ( it clearly opened about 6.25, along with the adjacent main railway line ).
Bad publicity is not what is needed, especially when a false alarm was identified as the cause.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!
If anyone would like to share their local airport news right here in our news area let me know so I can give you the correct permissions to do so. It only takes a couple of minutes to upload a news story with an accompanying image. The news items can then be shared on the site homepage by you. #TakePart #Forums4airports Bring the news to one place!
survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
