Has anybody picked up on the fact that the HS2 route is going to take off a chunk of the Tinsley end of the Runway? :bomb:
 
Do you honestly think HS2 will happen?
 
The proposal is for the line to clip a part of the hard standing and part of the terminal building with a cutting. The land is compacted material from open-casting and ,after analysis, may not be suitable to support a cutting. Close examination of the proposal shows that the actual runway isn't affected and the terminal building will be ready for replacement in any case!

It's not considered a problem but it will not matter one jot if Peel are unwilling to sell the land!

Its a nice little get out for Sheffield city Hall though isnt it.
 
It has just been revealed that the airports owners are refusing to enter negotiations with a view to re-opening. This is hardly surprising.

Heads Up!

For some weird reason, my days off work tend to involve being out of my flat by 5am and not getting back until 10pm. Back to work and the regular "fix" of 7.40am to 7.15pm hours

I don't believe I am quite covering enough roles at work. Its now 4 on a bad day, 5 on a good day and there is scope for a 6th and 7th role. Still on minimum pay but had the biggest payrise in the company,
