Monarch 757 G-MONJ just arrived from Gatwick, I assume for the attention of MAEL?

*EDIT*

I think G-MONJ is the aircraft scheduled to do the Ant & Dec Florida trip from LBA on Friday so MAEL could be doing some prep work for it?

G-MONJ departed just before 08:30 to Gatwick, it looked as though it had the Ant & Dec decals but the cloud base is low today making it hard to see.

A321 G-ZBAK is due tomorrow (05/04) at 15:00 from AMM as MON458P, it used to be JY-AYJ and should still be in Royal Jordanian livery.

G-ZBAK just arrived from AMM, it's still in the Royal Jordanian grey but with the writing and tail logo gone.

Norwegian B787 EI-LNC is scheduled to arrive on the 10th, not sure what time yet but it should be in overnight.

Subject to change of course.

Apparently the above 787 won't be arriving today.

Monarchs new A321(SL) G-ZBAM arrived today at 16:10. G-ZBAK departed for EMA, possibly for a coat of paint.

Monarch 757 G-DAJB is currently inside the hangar, A320 G-ZBAR still in OLT Express colours arrived Wednesday to join A321's G-ZBAJ and G-ZBAK. A300 G-OJMR is parked up with all titles removed and is due out on it's final flight to Tarbes Lourdes Airport on Monday. The Titan 763 G-POWD that arrived is in for a C check with MAEL.

Quite an impressive amount of aircraft.

Quite like the Titan 763 :good:

A nice look at the MAEL hangar and an interview with the ops manager. Another 787 customer on the way and there looks to be expansion planned for the future, all good stuff :good:

MAEL will be fitting the business class cabins to TAG Aviation's 757's when they operate their 'Around the World' flights for TCS Expeditions.

Monarch Aircraft Engineering Limited (MAEL), the award-winning independent aircraft maintenance provider, has secured a contract with TAG Aviation to provide full maintenance support services for its Boeing 757-200ER aircraft.

Farnborough-based TAG Aviation, which is a new customer for MAEL, will be operating the 757 on “Around the World” flights on behalf of TCS Expeditions, a tour operator.

The services MAEL will provide include base and line maintenance, full CAMO (continuing airworthiness management organisation) services and spares support.

In addition, MAEL will fit out the aircraft’s business class cabin at its new state of the art maintenance facility at Birmingham Airport. This will include the installation of new seats, galley, overhead storage and an on board wi-fi system.

TCS usually use 2x Thomson B757's for their tours, and Thomson usually fit the cabins in-house at LTN. Unfortunately that means no unusual aircraft.

Still, every little helps.

Norwegian 787 Dreamliner EI-LNA is due in at 20:50 for maintenance, not sure how long it'll be in for.

Subject to change of course.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
