Looks like MAN also to get KLMs new A21N on one of their daily rotations from the end of October. We really need competition for them on AMS to wake them back up because until we have that they can do what they want at LBA. Is the reduction in capacity them saying to LBA be careful what you agree to with U2 I wonder?
Let's remember it's only on the LBA-AMS route that they are expensive, for onward destinations they are competitive.

The user in question has revisited since this morning and hasn't made any attempt to correct himself. So for that reason he has been given some temporary leave from the forum. Hopefully enough time for the soap to work as he washes his mouth out.
Oh thats a blow Aviador...I was just about to ask him how many flights departed this morning from his beloved Doncaster........oh hang on a minute 🤔🙄

KLM have just put the Amsterdam to Leeds route on sale for summer 2025. Currently shown operating 3x daily Sunday to Friday & 2x daily Saturday all on KLM City Hoppers own metal.

Both the night stopper and tea time rotation are shown operated by Embraer 190 whilst the mid-morning rotation is shown operated by the larger brand-new Embraer E190-E2’s.

Good to see some growth in this area - I would agree with other comments that hub and spoke operators have got to be the way forward to supplement the LCCs ad drive inward business traffic - as we all know a 55 mile trip to MAN can easily lose you half a day not to mention all the extra time transiting the airport.

Just catching up on this thread after a crazy week and sorry to see it became personal at one of the airport's (and forum's) strongest supporters - surely this is a forum to air views on how the airport can develop responsibly and help grow the region which benefits us all!

Am travelling on a KL321 next May so will do a bit of an update and will be through the airport next week flying LS (a 733 so fingers crossed on reliability! so will try to grab some pictures! I did the E2 a year or so ago - lovely quiet machine - felt more like a main line aircraft with the 3 cabin crew although seating still 2x2.

Problems at AMS/KLM continue, albeit with ramifications all over the place. I have just booked LBA/OSL and return for late October, and one of the AMS/OSL legs is with SAS and an A320NEO, as opposed to the normal KLM 737. Posh! Seriously there are continuing problems with Norwegian this morning with staff cuts appearing to be on the cards. How about KLM taking SAS and NA into their fold? Just a thought.

SAS is now a Skyteam member.

No only recently. They were part of Star Alliance previously.
No definitely Skyteam, sorry.

Not strictly LBA related but we should thank our lucky stars that we do not have T3 equipment on our AMS service! My friend flew from NCL to BCN yesterday via AMS, he used the 13.45 which I think subsequently became T3. It's the MME based E190 that uses its 'spare' time to do a NCL run out of AMS. Looking at the track record it's been on time once maybe twice in the last week (not helpful on a connecting trunk route) and true to form yesterday it landed 20 minutes late. My friend made his connection but his bags did not! I did say I felt he was a bit crazy doing a 45 min connection even if it was KL as they are not perfect!

He said on board the service was as you would get from KL (same wine etc) with T3 crew and the Holland Herald was in the seat pocket! Moral of the story is if its T3 think carefully about connecting times in AMS and dont cut it too fine!

To illustrate the point my friend flew from Teesside earlier this week, T3 was an hour late and connection to IAD was missed. Rerouted via CDG but bags didnt make it.

according to some people, you only need 1 day in each of the Yorkshire Dales, North Wales and Lake District "to have seen it all". Which is why its minibus tour number 3 this year of the Yorkshire Dales for me on 16th October. Different routes and different things to see each tour.
Apologies for any issues today, I was planning on updating the site but sadly something went wrong so the upgrade has been postponed. Apologies again for any inconvenience caused.

Thank you for your kind donation to our running costs Jenny.
I've done 2 minibus tours with Mountain Goat this week. Monday was North York Moors with over 600 photos and today High Adventure in the Lakes with 750. photos. Slightly snap happy.
I've asked Gareth Southgate for the winning lottery numbers. He said 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6
