This morning I received an email from KLM to say that my 10am dep to AMS, in April, is to be operated by KLM Cityhopper. I though that meant that it would be operated by an EM7/9 but in the KLM booking engine it is still down as a B737.700.
Anyone know anything?

They are retiring the B737-700s and are planned to be replaced by E195-E2s and A320neos from 2023. So it could be the case that we could see the new E2 here.

It appears, from their booking site, that KLM rotation 1541/2 will be operated by mixture of 737-700 and EMB195-2 from beginning of July to end of summer timetable (including Sat)

Knew about the Boeing 737-700's appearing this summer but good to see the brand new Embrear 190-E2's are now also scheduled to make an appearance. I honestly can't keep up with the KLM website, as the schedule has kept changing that many times recently.

Yes, unfortunately their schedule seems very unreliable at present. I booked LBA-AMS-WRO going out on Fri 5th Aug and returning Mon 8th Aug. The destination is only available using the early morning KLM flight to AMS. During the weeks since booking, the early morning flight on 5th Aug has been cancelled and booking transferred to Thurs 4th Aug, then that was also cancellled and booking transferred to Wed 3rd Aug. Accommodation was booked to fit in with the original dates, so decided to fly on 4th Aug, later in the day, overnight in AMS, then continue on the originally planned flight from AMS to WRO on 5th Aug. Now, I’ve just been informed the flight between AMS andLBA (mid-afternoon) on the return journey has been cancelled so we face a stopover of 8 hours at Schiphol and a late arrival into LBA. So 3 major itinerary changes and still nearly 2 months until departure date. We are a party of 9 with age range 4-70+ and I think this 3rd change will be the final straw, and complete lack of confidence in KLM fulfilling its schedule, means cancellation is the most probable course of action. Thankfully the hotel bookings are refundable.

LBA arrivals would appear to agree. No AMS arrival tomorrow until the late evening arrival KL1551. Typical.
