The 3rd Saturday evening rotation has now been reinstated for summer 2025 meaning we are 3x daily 7 days a week.

The previous listed planned Embraer E190-E2 flights have disappeared to be replaced Embraer 190’s whilst it aslo worth noting all flights are still shown operated by KLM City Hopper. No sign yet of “operated Eastern Airways”

Eastern taking over from KLM CityHopper from March 30, 2025

The schedule has been updated and Eastern Airways will be basing a E190 at LBA from March 30th. The aircraft will operate 3x daily returns to AMS, meaning 21x weekly departures in total. LBA joins BRS, MME and HUY as Eastern bases operating for KLM.

So no longer will we see the KLM livery. A real shame.

Knowing Eastern, we will see no livery at all! I still think for a contract of this length KLM should have insisted the aircraft carried KLM livery. So it turns out that we now know why Eastern were recruiting LBA based crew last year.
I dont think the airport even knew what was afoot. I think you said in one of your ACC reports or maybe another post that tbe airport had said they knew nothi g of these plans.

And I suspect LBA won't be the last. Let's hope this also goes some way to repairing the relationship between LBA and T3 in everyone's interests.
I also think that whatever has gone on with T3 in the past that we don't write them off before it's begun. We have to give them a chance

To be honest I don’t think it will repair the damage between LBA & Eastern. As it will still be KLM paying the bills.

It’ll be Eastern paying the bills. The contract is a long term one and KLM are happy with how Eastern have performed so far. As much as to request that more bases are transferred over to Eastern. I understand Eastern have asked for more time because they wants get this right by ALL accounts. So do not write them off.

Correct. After Eastern advertised for LBA based Embraer crew, I raised the prospect of Eastern operating for KLM and at that time, the CEO said LBA had not been informed of any such change by KLM. It was only at the last (December) meeting that he confirmed that Eastern were taking over from the summer schedule. He did also say that whilst this was.a long term contract, it was not permanent. Time will tell I guess.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
