I've no doubt that they are confident in the, German Airways is another airline they've used for a while. I can only speak for myself but I think it'll be disappointing not to see the KLM livery flying past my house on the way into LBA and the livery being seen at the airport and personally due to my nostalgic affection for KLM not hearing a Dutch accent when boarding the aircraft and I'm not saying there's anything wrong with being greated by an English accent. To me it feels like a downgrade for the airport but that's just my personal opinion.
I wholeheartedly agree with all those sentiments. Its the loss of the livery that really hits home.

Not just with we enthusiasts either because I suspect having booked with KLM, one of the World’s best known and respected airlines, to find waiting for you on the tarmac an Eastern Aiways (who?) aircraft instead of the famous KLM blue and white is a bit of a let down even though it shows Eastern Airways when you book on the KLM website.

But German A/W has been operating for KLM at LBA on many occasions this past year and their livery isn't Blue & White.

True, but at least they have a livery, unlike Eastern who leave most of their aircraft all white.
The Eastern ones I’ve seen have the Eastern livery and some do mention KLM on the fuselage but admittedly not all at the moment, I don’t believe they have any all white non decal aircraft flying for them at the minute.

Still hoping this can become KLM UK once more if eastern get their act together, because say what you like about RL but he knows a good deal.. I think a lot of the damage has been inherited when he bought it back from Bristow. Quite tricky dealing with the head office when it’s based in TX! Not only that but their core market has dwindled to next to nothing which is a shame.

There was an all white E190 at LBA on Sunday I think. I watched it land. It had the tail logo etc but from what I could see. there was no other colour than white.

Don’t know what’s going on during the last week of June 2025 (Week Commencing Sun 22nd to Fri 27th) as both the morning Leeds - Amsterdam flights have been rescheduled?

The early 06:20, KL1018 will depart at 08:25 and remains operated by our based Eastern Airways Embraer 190.

Meanwhile the mid-morning rotation has been totally rescheduled to be operated by KLM City Hoppers own Embraer 190 in the afternoon as follows. The KL1019 will arrive at 13:30 instead of 09:30 and the outbound KL1020 service that is normally due out at 10:05 will depart at 14:10.

Is that just got one week period? Seems odd

Yeah it’s just that one week, June 22nd to 27th.

That misses out the morning bank of Schiphol departures to Europe and the USA. Very odd.

It looks like lots of other UK airports including Birmingham, Manchester, Bristol, Cardiff, Humberside & Glasgow, have all lost at least 1x of there daily rotations that same week too.

It’s a NATO summit which means there are restrictions on capacity so some flights have been cancelled or rescheduled. It’ll only last a few days.

Not long now before we say Au revoir to KLM and say 'Hi, you back again?' to Eastern with our very own based ex KLM E190 .

Reading the goings on with Eastern on another forum doesn't inspire confidence at all. The opposite in fact. I hope they're wrong, but..........it's clear they have little if any slack with the fleet, so any tech issues are likely to prove very disruptive.

Hope easyJet are watching watching and launch the route. Different market yes but hopefully will kick KLM up the arse.

Let’s see how Eastern get on before jumping to conclusions and hope to be proved wrong.. fingers crossed we see KLM livery back asap though.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
