I would suggest it borders upon being seditious, sadly a crime long since repealed in English law. I am certain the authorities in Turkmenistan would deal with such nonsense in a more robust manner!

Turkmenistan don't appear on the published list of several hundred countries with at least one confirmed case. So whatever they ARE doing to tackle it seems to be working perfectly.
Or are they just not checking or releasing figures....

Turkmenistan to return on the 13th December??

taken from their website:-

Birmingham - Ashgabat

Turkmenistan Airlines is the national carrier of Turkmenistan. Turkmenistan Airlines offers a convenient non-stop connection from Birmingham to Ashgabat. Starting the 13th of December 2020, flights to/from Birmingham Airport will be resumed. and of course December the 13th is a Sunday, not a Friday!!! Just wonder if they mean the 18th December, or it was originally planned to start on the 13th November, and some bright spark at Turkmenistan spotted it, and just changed November to December!! - However no flights appear to be bookable on the website :cautious:

isn't the B757 banned from operating in Europe still? Thought they could only fly the B737 & B777 ?

Hi .This is especially to ian .What are the chances of getting the airline back at bhx this summer or this year?
We all know they are allowed back into the uk with flying their 737-800 from asbaghat (What ever you call the place) to stansted?

I dunno, Bangkok was a very popular connection at one point* 😁

*T'was a joke and I do understand the importance of DEL/ATQ :)

Turkmenistan should analyse the market and start flights to India, Pakistan and Bangladesh as well as Jeddah (I flew with my mum on Turkmenistan many years ago to Karachi from Birmingham International Airport - now please Turkmenistan management analyse the Asian market and Birmingham well thank you

Is an announcement imminent that they should be back very soon?

Don't know about imminent but the latest rumour I heard was around July. We'll see though as their return has been rumoured before but never happened.

Would be great to see them back though (y)

I’ve just noticed that Turkmenistan has relaunched its flights to New Delhi on Sunday just gone.

Is an announcement imminent that they should be back very soon?
July is what a friend of mine said from Turkmenistan however take this with s grain of salt

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!
If anyone would like to share their local airport news right here in our news area let me know so I can give you the correct permissions to do so. It only takes a couple of minutes to upload a news story with an accompanying image. survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
